I hate bar staff that are in such a hurry they pour me a pint of Guinness that overflows all down the side of the glass making a mess of it. Usuallay it doesnt settle nicely, just a load of muddy brown crud. And why is it that the pubs where they treat Guinness like that have crap tasting Guiness even if you get someone to pour it properly?!

Probably because they treat the barrel with as much disrespect as they treat the pint. A good, proper pint of Guinness, correctly poured, should take about 20 minutes to get to you. The best place to get one is of course in the south of Ireland. Best pint I ever had was in a small town called Abbeyleiks -- went into the pub/grocery store called Morrison's and asked for a pint of the black stuff. "Would you like a drink whilst you're waiting sir?" said the barman and after a pint of Kilkenny it was ready. As soon as I'd lifted the glass to my lips he asked "Would you like another one?" so he could start preparing it.
