Hi Paul

What was the damage (£) to get to this stage?
Where did you relocate the FM oil cooler to?

Regards

Buck

hi buck
it cost a lot to be honest, but you probably know you do a bit then a bit more and before you know it youre in the middle of a major project,
i moved the oil cooler to the opposite side, near the s202 badge and it sits just behind the front mount, runs nicely at 80 degrees.

regards

would the S202 be considered better than a Spec-C?

the spec c was the 202's starting point at that time, from there they added the aircon ,electric windows, added more power and a whole host of other things

Hi Paul, have you ever done any 1/4 mile times while it was stock and now it is 550bhp? I have a S202. I live in the Caribbean so mods are difficult as getting it tuned properly is quite difficult. We have quite a few Evo IX's here with quite a lot of mods so I have decided to put on a Zex wet system running a 55 shot to give them some sort of competition. I'm hoping that will give me a low 12 in the 1/4. The 1/4 mile track is the only track we have down here unfortunately. I wish I had your mods as my friend's Evo IX is running about 550bhp now also, and he ran 11.6 easily with more boost available if he needs it.

Regards,
Special

i did the 1/4 mile with about 346 bhp and did consistent 12.5, 12.6 runs so low 12s are easily achievable for you, i havent done the 1/4 with he latest mods yet but i am expecting high 10s low 11s

regards

Blimey

How does it do for lag? I have a built 2 litre engine with an MD321T which makes full boost (2 bar) by 4000rpm in 5th on the road, or probably 4500rpm in 4th (still standard Type RA Ltd gearbox) and mine is kicking out 455bhp and 415lbft torque.

I can live with it fine, but it is quite laggy - I would have thought at that power level your turbo must be mahoosive and therefore quite a bit laggier on a 2 litre.

Please do divulge more info on how it drives

Hi Paul, thanks for the reply. I did a 12.4, but it seems like the car is restricted because of the cats in the exhaust and the intake. I need to get a catless 3" downpipe and a good air intake and hopefully, I will get a lower 12. The people I have talked to though say I would need to get my ECU retuned if I put on a 3" catless downpipe so I really don't know what to do. I was hoping to run 110 unleaded octane fuel to compensate for the extra air flow, but still want to make sure it is safe. I am limited as I live in the Caribbean and don't have anyone down here to tune the car for me. Any suggestions? I do have an Autronic Wide Band Sensor Monitor and am putting in a Defi EGT Gauge to be able to monitor everything. Please also let me know when you do a time with your new beast!!

Thanks
Michael

Couple here for value comparisons, yellow does not have the right wheels or exhaust by looks of it but pics are terrible.

Subaru : S202 sti

Then another a Keighley Trade Centre in WR Blue which on the face of it don't look that bad 3rd car down after doing a filter for Subaru Impreza.

Default Autronic

Hi Paul, I am thinking about getting an Autronic plug and play for my car as I want to change to a 3" catless downpipe, 70mm APS intake, Headers,
255lph Walbro Fuel Pump, and I may possibly put in 820cc injectors. I want to be able to run 22psi of boost when I am running 110 octane race fuel as everyone says this is much safer than running the Zex wet system. Are you familiar with the Autronic?

Thanks
Special
