I cant be 100% but a few friends in Germany have all said they have seen this on the news, so seems to be true.

Funny how the Ring official website has all the opening times for 2007. I know they're usually subject to change this time of year but no mention of the ring closing at all.
I'm booked up to go in June again, hope this is just a viral net rumour and not true.....
