Terry.

Remember you can only be 2ltr to race in the series, and only 5 speed gearbox with the same casing as standard.

many more restrictions as well.

That's fine I have looked at the regulations and I have nothing to worry about as my car is completely standard

But actually I still have a 2 litre unit, albeit with strengthened components and will be fitting a PPG gearset soon Turbo will be a bit bigger (but it's not actually that big - just very very good ) and it should all work well together as a good package for 450/450

That's enough for me this year

After those vids, glad I hillclimb...
I thought at first you were racing until I realised after the shoughting that it was qualifying!
Too much risk for a gentleman like me.
Graham.

I could not do sprinting or hill climbing,or rallying as there is no competition with you its just times that you try to beat.

Not enough of a thrill for me,40 plus cars on a track all going for it that is where it is for me.

Don't knock it till you've tried it mate

It's great fun when you are at the top of the hill and rushing to the hut to see your time coming through the printer and comparing with others. That's where the competitive element comes from - not just competing against the clock

It's the time delay between crossing the finish line and finding out your time and result in the pecking order - it's hard to describe unless you've been there - I'm sure that Graham will agree with me

Indeed, each to their own.

I do love hill climbing (some of you may have noticed) as it is far far more than the race. Much of my family social life is around the sport.

I would like to try Tarmac Stage rally as it is much like a long hill climb, but circuit racing is ok but iffy with all the others there in Turn 1.

Only other event is drag racing which i flirted with 30 years ago....

talking of tarmac rallying, how about this? The Rally Show at Chatsworth look under sessions on the left hand side, 165 quid for both days, think i might be up for some of that

It's been a long day - too bloody long - but hey - that's half the fun of it and mapping after 9pm is so much easier than at 5pm

So how's the car now....It is now just stupidly quick - just unreal.

Peak boost on the way home was 1.98 bar - more than we mapped for But it was cold.

Simon has an AP22 performance meter, with which we recorded 364bhp at the wheels. Similar to Delta Dash. So I would think that it is hitting about 450bhp

It is scarey - daren't floor it in 1st/ 2nd - well I did try and I think it just lit up the tyres.

Long day, off to bed - will post more tomorrow

Cheers

Terry
