LOL I wish it was me as I do drive a TVR but unfortunately not a Tuscan.
The Tuscan is "supposed" to touch 185 MPH but who knows.
Perhaps the guy driving was a bit short and could only get the accelerator half way down.LOL
Seriously though if your Scoob is putting out that much power the I`m impressed.
A friend of mine has an Escort Cos with a genuine 338BHP (According to the RR printout)and its bl**dy rapid.
One thing I will say is that in my opinion the exhaust note from the Scoob is better that the Cossie.
I saw a Japanese guy driving a Scoob over the weekend and it sounded mental!
You betta watch out cos next time you see a TVR......It could be me!LOL

My friend's got a 5 litre Chimera and once past 100 mph it really starts to leave everthing else for dead. On a motorway there's no chance, he hit 160 when I was at 130. But on an A/b road he really has to slow up for the bends and can't get on the power early at all.

Was driving a standard Tuscan at Bruntingthorpe about 12 months ago and there were two 3-door Cossies there, one black and one white. The black one with the number plate 200MPH or MPH200 or similar. Anyway, they reckoned on about 500bhp ish for these two cars. On the straight, the black one only gained and drew level once the speeds were at 165mph plus.
For a Scoob to keep up or beat a Tuscan on anything other than a very twisty B road, it must've been in your dreams! Either that, or the TVR driver was running the car in ir coudn't be arsed.

BTW, those Cossies were extremely rapid, and superb to watch. Whoever owns the black one had fabulous car control. The oversteer was sublime! Big Respect. Just a shame it blew up

Biffo,
He's my best mate, 22, like me(no old boy who can't reach the throttle).. Not too sure about specs but it a Vreg with the rover 4.5 in it.. Sounds mint!! only 3k on the clock.. He bough it with slight fibre glass damage. 14k not too bad eh!!
Anyway, off the lights the initial launch he has me.. Turbo spins in a match.. Into second a little quicker(just one car ahead) me into third he's on my *** and then it evens out..
Bends cant touch me.. Straight line, will kill me!!

firstly the factory CLAIM 180mph not 195+
secondly the factory CLAIM 4.2 0-60 not 3.9 (in recent test autocar got 4.39)
I am not on here for someone to tell me that what actually happened
to me couldn't especially when he doesn't know his facts properly.
every day driving are not those figures (u would probably go through a clutch obtaining those 0-60 times anyway)and the driver was probably more concerned by the way he looked in it , but thanks for the input. And yes for me my impreza is a magical thing.

Nope, you said the Tuscan S http://www.tvr.co.uk/graphics/tuscan_s/new/tus_spec.html
Those are the factory specs.
It also gave a 0-100MPh time of 9.3 seconds on a test track, so whatever you've done to your Subaru sure must be working, either that, or the driver was only giving it half throttle.

Folks,
After recent threads being posted about top speed etc, can I remind you that since travelling over 70mph on the public highway is illegal, this BBS & community does not want to be seen glorifying these antics. It's not the "This car can do this....." comments, it's the "I did 260mph yesterday down the A46".
Can you please keep this type of talk for the pub.
Thankyou for your help.
Shaun.

Any way back to the subject!!
Took mine down to a disussed air field with a DV camera and got some great slidy tipe action and donuts etc.. I got my mate to blast it off down the field.. Sounds great just as it pops off the limiter!! Would post the video but it's 40 MEG.. May try and reduce it!!

Didnt mean to come on strong, but there's a lot of times where you hear all this stuff, and it blows my mind whats implied sometimes.
The Tuscan S is simply one of the fastest road cars available, and although your Subaru is undoubtedly very fast, I just cant see it staying near a Tuscan S, but then I have no proof of your cars capabilities, so probably should have been a bit more tactful in my approach.

Nutter,
Are you aware that it's easily possible to record enough information about your ip connection to allow the relevant authorities to track you down? Maybe you should think about that before posting public confessions to dangerous driving like the one above. If I were you, I would hope there have been no third party complaints about your escapade as the police could probably use those complaints and your above statement as evidence for a charge or two.
