We could do the inner ring road, but then we'd miss the airport (unless we went the long way round)
Don't want to end up losing half the pack before we get to Ilkley
Airport tunnel is far better than the inner ring road tunnels, can rocket it threw there
,no cameras,,,unlike inner ring road ones....
Can meet u just before tunnel ...
Always go through at full chat with windows full down and stereo off.....

The chap at the Camera Safety Partnership has sent me some useful stuff and a cracking offer to ensure this run goes as smoothly as possible.
Merry Xmas SCaN
Surely I shouldn't be writing / reading my 'to do' list in the car?? I'm also not sure when I became a SCaN 'subscriber'
Dear Simon,
Winter always puts added strain on our vehicles...and on our driving skills.
So, inside your winter issue of SCaN there's a special feature full of useful
tips and information, which it is hoped will help keep you safe with the
driving conditions you'll encounter over the next few months.
And there are FREE gifts to help you be an even safer driver. We're especially
proud to offer our Glove Box Buddy TM The Safer Driver's Companion TM - a unique,
bespoke driver-orientated organiser (the manufacturer tells us it's
the first of its kind!).
You can keep records of:
* mileages
* journeys
* expenses
* names and addresses
* to do lists
* important dates and events
* notes, etc
And it's yours...FREE...with our compliments, as a SCaN subscriber. Details
of how to obtain your own Safer Driver's Companion TM are inside this issue.
To read the latest SCaN newsletter simply visit:
http://www.safetycameraswestyorkshir...ewsletters.htm
And there's another free gift with your SCaN. It's the 'pocket companion'.
Small but packed with useful driver safety information including a reminder
about braking distances (especially useful when there are slippery winter
road surfaces) and a tyre depth gauge. If you are an email subscriber, please
view details of our current competition at:
http://www.safetycameraswestyorkshir...ompetition.htm
to obtain your own free 'companions'.
These are our safety gifts to you... think of them as early Christmas
presents...because it's our mission to do everything in our power to help
you keep yourself, and other road users, as safe as possible on the roads.

Meeting point required ???
I'm off net till 27/12/06 so can we decide by then, or I'll have to resort to stalking one of the more visible members of the WYIOC....

Date is set for 29th.
DEPARTURE TIMES (That's DEPARTURE, not MEET UP AND HAVE A CHAT!)
Furry Triangle 6:30am
Ilkely Lay-by 7:15am (Traffic permitting)
Sticky, don't know the route you have planned but there'll be a mobile camera van at Otley Old Road in Lawnswood, Leeds this week....worth bearing in mind if we go that way on the way there / back.

Don't know the road Si, but as we're all good law-abiding citizens I can't see how a mobile fund raising vehicle would be of interest to any of us.

Where is the furry triangle???? And i dont want any amusing Female related answers, i am thinking of making this my first run out. I will be coming from the Halifax area.
Ah yes... A Dazza witticism..
It's actually the Rhubarb Triangle, Brewers Fayre pub @ the Paragon Business Park, Paragon Avenue, Wakefield just off the A650.
Come of J41 of the M1 and head into Wakefield. Over 2 or 3 roundabouts and it's on the right.. It's the same turning for Burger King. If you hit the main A61 Leeds Road roundabout then you've gone 1 roundabout too far..

To answer some questions...
Too right it's still on! This is all I've been looking forward to since about 7am on the 25th
theboy: If you're coming from Hafilax you may be as well meeting us just outside Burley in Wharfedale. Join the A65 where it meets the A660, head towards Ilkley, and we'll be parked up just after the next roundabout.
We SHOULD be leaving there at 7:30
CLICKY
Best to let us know if you're coming.
To everyone else, if you aint got my mobile it's 07747 682926
Make a not quick 'cos I'll not be leaving it on here for long.
If you're unable to make it, or you're running late call and let us know please
