my friend has got eyes that bad, she cant use metal framed glasses anymore cos the glass is too thick

Mine have gone from -4.75 to -4 in about three years.

It's a PITA TBH, I have to keep getting new lenses.

why dont you just go for laser surgery, what with the cost of eye tests and glasses every couple of years it would be a massive saving

You're not allowed surgery unless your prescription has been stable for 3 years. Another PITA
