Yup - he was a great guy. I met him numerous times and spent a lot of time with, and even competed against him (I let him win!) while I was editor at Rally Sport. Once I even let him drive me while I read the Pace Notes - but he wasn't keen on me driving and him doing the reading. One of the nicest drivers I ever had to deal with.
Really miss Richard and Michael - the last few years have seen some truly great sportsman lost.
I sat and watched some old videos at the weekend and Richard was on my "British Championship" tape driving a Prodrive Legacy.
Both he and Michael were super people - missed by many.

Totaly agree with the quote about george best. He wasted his life and was all over the news when he died. Richard had everything to live for and was hardley mentioned i just saw a bit on teletext bout him.
