Is your car a WRX or an STi?

Just wondering because I also have the Prodrive Sports CAT and decat to go on my STi and I am curious to see what results you get. Mine is going in next week.

Is it ok to just change the downpipe and not the up pipe??

Has anyone else got the same as me eg. Decat/sportcat down pipe and standard up pipe?

Is it bad for your engine?

I think it would be fine, dont think it could damage the engine in anyway. would of thought alot of people have just the downpipe.

As i could fit the bits myself i just wanted to get them both done.

Ive just had my new H&S downpipe decat and prodrive centre decat fitted ready for remap on Friday.

There is a lot more turbo noise....... Which sounds awsome.

And its not too loud which will please the wife.

Also it seems to rev a bit more freely.

Roll on Friday....

Whilst I had the intercooler off I ditched the DV12 Dump valve and refitted the standard unit. As it was doing my head in.

My god I must be getting old........

I've got the full PPP exhaust on my WRX. Kept the standard uppipe and the only cat is the sports cat in the prodrive downpipe.
Made 202bhp at the wheels before the remap

ok - done an up to date dyno run of mine with a breath of Mocom Magic dust

This was on Tesco 99 no octane booster. 13C ambient and about 2/3 tank of fuel.... as with frayz' figures - these are at the wheels

This is with current Mocom map as a before figure for mapping next week when we will increase the fuel pressure to get more life out of the injectors

Really tempted by this.

Rang Zak this morning to enquire as to the extra costs of the spark plugs and fuel pump, and as to what power gains I should expect. Considering the outlay the gains dont seem too great , not in my particular case anyway

Come on guys, need my arm twisting a little bit more

Its not about peak figures.... its about the area under the curve. That's what makes the difference to the speed, driveability and rapid progress on the road/track. Peak figures only have a use in the pub and there will ALWAYS be someone with a higher figure than yours. I would forget the peaks and concentrate on what matters

Do it - you will not be disappointed

convinced yet?
