Im there in 12 hours

Zak hasent said I will need a new fuel pump
But he is doing new denso plugs.

But I have read in other threads that both Bob Rawle and Andy Forest say that you only need to upgrade the fuel pump if you are going 300-320+ BHP or are changing the turbo or injecters??

Out of interest how much is Zak charging everyone for supplying and fitting plugs?

Ste, earlier in the thread its says that Bob only advised changing the pump if you were wanting over 300 bhp wouldn't be getting near this as the only engine mods I have is a decatted exhaust system

Well i,ve got a full de-cat and uprated air filter (and the resonator removed from the airbox which is really easy and costs next to nothing) and he advised me to do it just as a precaution, better safe than sorry mate. I got 276 HP and 311 lbft not bad for a wagon. pm me if you want any advice mate

bob had figures of 292hp and 299torque but said they could be slightly out, i took it to prosport straight after and put it on the rollers which is were i got them figures from, the car is awesome mate it pulls like a train in any gear and i'm boosting at 1.4 bar now compared to .9 before.

Just by her a dishwasher thats what i did still dont know how i persuaded her but i did and she even ended up giving me £200 towards it not bad considering weve got a baby on the way next month

Consider doing the airbox though mate as it will honestly cost you only £30 and take less then an hour

Ive just got back from my mapping session with Zak.

Heres my results (just what I wrote down off zaks laptop as he is emailing the graph later)

Standard car.

210whp @ 5407 rpm
214bfp @ 3477 rpm

After remap.

238whp @ 5397 rpm
249bfp @ 3676 rpm

---------------------------------------------------------

Standard car

40-60 = 3.1
50-70 = 3.2
60-80 = 3.4

After remap

40-60 = 2.7
50-70 = 2.7
60-80 = 2.9

I am very please with these results and the car now pulls up from nowhere.

The only problem I have is that due to the decat downpipe and centre the CEL light has come on and zak was not able to turn it off when doing the map so im going to have to find a CEL fix to sort this out.

Also on the way down to zak some barstool flicked up a stone on the motorway and smashed my windscreen.

But non the less a long but worth while day

There is an interesting thread on here somewhere that described how a couple of tuners did some back to back testing with and without the resonator on the air box and found they actually LOST 10bhp when they removed it!
