It was my turn to get up with the kids this morning, that all went **** as I stayed up until 04.30 , lets hope the track starts to change otherwise it's a pure draw.

Guaranteed tonight will be another "i'll just watch the 1st hour" come 01.30 it'll be, ok until lunch then !!

Its nicely poised

Not so nicely poised now !!

FFS you go to sleep wondering at what point will we declare and wake up to see McGrath taking out Anderson, and it's got no better since, pietersen overthrow summing up the day..

One question, why do we use Giles who cant even spin the ball when you have Monty keeping the seats warm, I thought when he and Jones got the nod there was a case of the "Ashes old boys" getting back together, did they think if they used the majority of the same players that won the last ashes we'd have the mental advantage ??, rumours abound that Freddie insisted Giles played (mates), very disapointed this morning

Now the collapse is complete

Turned the sh1te off at about 5am, expecting a defeat at that point.
At least England didn't fail me in that respect

Because thay had used most of their recognised batsman up and declaring gave them time for a chance of winning rather than drawing.

Pity no one thought that they might just throw away 10 wickets for 128 runs (or whatever it was) on a bland pitch.

I'd like to think of a word other than pathetic.............. but I can't

Just need to win the rest

Fully justified his selection over Read today

I'm quite surprised at that being his first duck though

This is going to be over in three days at this rate and not in our favour

What is it about the England captaincy that makes a perfectly good batsman barely into one who's barely able to get into double figures
I reckon they should make Hoggy the next captain, let's face it his average can hardly get any worse

Giles home for good, his missus is very ill, all the best to her, probably the last time he'll play for England unless Monty is injured.

Freddie is going down the same path as Botham and Gower, great cricketers but the captaincy destroyed their game, if Vaughn and Jones were fit, Monty had started from day 1 and we'd played 3 or 4 warm up matches things would have been very very different IMHO, freddie, nor Strauss IMHO can hold a candle to Vaughn, disapointed but still have belief in this team.

FM, a good summary. I didn't know about Giles and sorry to hear that. Vaughan played recently didn't he, albeit only for a short time?

I don't think Gower ever took anything seriously

Looks like my prediction of 2-2 is now fantastically optimistic!

But I'm very drunk ATM so my hopes are artificially high (and for some reason so is my spelling)

Well they forecast rain and storms for Monday so I jumped on the draw at 15/1 just before tea, its down to 4/1 now, and you can still get 7/1 on a an England victory but the weather forecast put me off, it would be great if the weather stays good and we could pull this off, we have every chance if it does.

Is there any better way of having to work on a Sunday, watching the test and getting paid for it

What a fecking shambles

With the exception of KP every batsman got out playing at a ball he should have left well alone Why the **** were they going after every ball like it was a one day limited overs game They had two days, they could've built up a big score just sitting there taking the odd single, and hopefully frustrating the Aussies into making mistakes

And what the **** was Flintoff playing at Has nobody ever made him aware of the concept of protecting the tail enders Why on earth was he taking singles from the opening ***** of Warne's and Clark's overs, leaving Read to then spend 5 ***** fending off either the worlds best bowler or McGrath MkII

Considering the reason they were left out of the side for so long was because they supposedly couldn't bat, I thought it was quite ironic that Read & Monty were the only ones who showed any sign of taking the fight to the Aussies A case of too little, too late though

I fancy an England victory today, 15/8 is a good price and lets face the crims have never beaten us at 20/20

Collingwood and Pietersen to do the damage

I found this in an on line dictionary

Capitulate

intransitive verb

Definition:

1. surrender: to surrender, especially under agreed conditions

2. consent or yield: to give in to an argument, request, pressure, or something unavoidable

and it had this picture attached

Ding Dong !!

Where do you start Milamber? I'd start with the person that was in charge of the itinerary, Fletcher and freddie for some **** poor team selections.

Hey at least we'll get to the end of 50 overs, although we may be about 80 runs short!!
