is it the childrens ward at southend hospital you are trying to get in touch with? we deal with them at work as we send our panto cast down there to visit the kids.........

quick newbie question... why is it called the poser's cruise? and how often does it occur?

 

Every 1st saturday of the month!

Not too sure on the posers bit myself?

Perhaps to show all the posers down Saaaaaaarrfend how to really do it!

 

Poser's because we like to show people our cars en masse. October's meet saw 70 cars gathered at Tescos.

The Posers Cruise to Southend Seafront

SATURDAY 2 DECEMBER 2006

Meeting in Tescos car park Basildon ( Located on the Mayflower retail park A127 London bound ) from 7pm , leaving for the seafront @ 8pm

Come along & join the fastest growing Scooby crew in the country

THERE WILL BE ZERO TOLERANCE OF BAD BEHAVIOUR

DO'S & DON'TS FOR ALL POSERS

1. No doughnuts , flamefests or letting us hear how nice your exhaust sounds in Tescos car park . This is our home please don't abuse it .

2. Once on the move keep checking your mirrors & when other vehicles get stuck in the convoy please move over to lane 1 and let them filter through .

3. Be ready for the "Underpass" slow down & launch ~ Ditto @ traffic lights .

4. Once in two lanes try to keep in your lane & please indicate if you must change lane mid convoy .

5. When regrouping at the front drive all the way around the bend and DOUBLE PARK before the speed camera .

6. Get yourself a two way radio set to Channel 1 . ONLY to be used for shepherding the convoy . Use another channel if you want to play .

7. Fixed Cameras ~ Traffic Units ~ Mobile Cameras ~ You have been warned .

8. Above all HAVE FUN .

Coming round the M25 you want J29 onto A127 Southend bound , follow this along till you come to the Basildon/Wickford slip (A132) . Take this slip down to the bottom go right around the roundabout & double back up the other side onto A127 now London bound .




Take the next exit off A127 into Mayflower retail park. Take second exit @ roundabout & go past McDonalds on your right . Follow this down to the bottom of the road & Tescos entrance is on the left , go past petrol & continue down to far end of car park .




Leave Tescos & TURN LEFT @ FIRST EXIT LONDON BOUND A127 .




Take next slip then first exit @ roundabout , get in right hand lane & take third exit @ roundabout back onto A127 Southend bound .




Get in right hand lane & turn right @ lights then regroup when you reach the seafront. You must DOUBLE PARK before the speed camera to allow room for those @ the back .




Drive all the way along the front & double back @ the Thorpe Esplanade roundabout

Only my 3rd outing with the Esc crew.....(1st. Southend, then Tunnel Run) I was the Wr blue newage that was with the Ferrari and a few other Scoobies at the Millenium Dome when everyone got separated),still havent spoken with anyone xcept Tiny, who probably doesn't remember me anymore...lol
.....and no one else has spoken with me. ....is it because I'm Portuguese??? Lol
Anyways.....lets see if this one goes a bit better and I actually get to know a few people....lol

 

Oh... sorry! Think I remember a Ferrari at Tunnel Run??
I doubt you will be last, as I'm normally always at the back!! I'll be in the white WRX ST?...yes, ST? - long story, but its on the back of car, so if you see me, come say hi!!

Oh yes i remember you , & As i said @ Southend last time i see you , The Posers cruise is not one of the best meets to get to know as few more of the ESC , IMO Your best to try & get along to the Halfway house meet ( 2nd Thursday of month , Or the Lodge meet 3rd Thurs ) These are alot better enviromemnts than a freezing cold southend seafront

just been over rochford way and sure i saw a sign to say something about they are turning the lights on in the square saturday night, so not sure if it will still be closed at cruise time......

 

Yank .. As EmEm said We do this " Posers " Cruise every 1st Sat , All year round , In fact in 2005 The Jan cruise fell on New years day & We had 33 Cars turn out in the pi$$ing rain
