Is it an actual Series 1 RS Turbo i.e. was it black from factory...as that would be priceless. If it wasnt why would you devalue such a less rare white one, by painting it back?

I'm not knocking it, as I love(d) series 1's (though they do look dated nowadays...better in white?). But it looks like its a shell of a MKIII that you have seriously modified, and put in a larger engine! I suspect it never actually was a genuine RSTurbo to start off with? In which case your original scooby slaying comments generate less kudos.

With all due respect anyone can modify their car to output twice the original power spec (by putting in a different engine?!), then take on a far superior standard car, but little would refer to the other car as slow!

Mark

So you're wondering why a highly modified chavy escort, is faster than a standard P1?? Did I hear somebody say 'twisties'??
Sounds like you don't have many friends and just wanted to make yourself look good. 'Good for you!' 'Thanks'! (Those who watch southpark will understand!)

You wern´t telling the whole story.
And any car can be modified to be quick in a straight line - if enough timeand money is thrown at it. In one respect - Its not really a true RS turbo though. Scoobs are quick in a straight line (but not unbeatable) they really become devastingly quick once you start chucking in a few bends. The old twisties

Think people were a bit quick to jump down you throat. As I think thats a cool car personaly, which you have put alot of time and effort into

i've spent a massive amount of time and money building the car. i dont no how anyone can say the car is "chavvy" thats such a stupid comment, as i think thats a bit of jelousy, this car cost alot more to build then most of the scoobys on this thread (alot of exceptions) and i've never said i dont like the cars you drive as i do.
see when i see a really nice car with alot of effort put into it i praise it. i see alot of people on here are "blinkered" and think scoobys are the only car in the world.
as for the people who like it, thanks for your comments
i didnt build the car to make a point, i built it for me
the car WAS an original S1 to start with and i dont think about things like devaluing a car because otherwise you would never modify them in the first place.

FEEL FREE to slate the car as much as you like as i can see thats all im going to get on here

How much did the mods cost ? It's clearly not "chavvy", cos it looks fairly standard, and a very clean example at that. What can i see on the front grill by the way ?

Enjoy your car !

I think your car is good mate and have no intention of slating it or you for modding it. Ive had fords myself. Two series 2 RS Turbos and an RS 2000. I personally dont think scoobys are the only cars in the world but some who post on here wont hear a bad word said against them. The only thing I will say is that you came across in your first post as a 'scooby killer' you seemed to have something to prove by implying that you felled the giant P1 in your RS. Any car can be made to go faster than any other if you throw enough money at it afterall.

Mr RS Turbo.

Did you expect to come on to Scoobynet, post that a "standard" RS (no mention of mods in the 1st post) thrashed a P1 & expect to get away unscathed?!!

TX.

P.S. Have you noticed my thread? All spelled correctly, all punctuation in the right places. Why, because I'm not a chav that's why.

What a load of sh*t, you clearly know your car has around 400bhp & stripped out and you try it on with a P1, which was prob standard or only lightly modified then claim your unimpressed and they're not quick. Try a standard RS against a standard P1 then you'll get a real perspective of how quick they are. As for your car, i agree a very nice car in lovey condition but if you come up against a similarly modified and stripped P1 which could anything upto 700bhp and i think you will get blown into the weeds. Just be careful now you've just made yourself the target for every big horsepower scooby!
