Juggers there has only ever been 1 Road-going Type-25 (race car has done ok though ) entered into Time Attack and that was my demo at the last round.

Thanks all for the comments, I wondered the same as you Einstein

Hi Iain, how many new T25's have you sold/on order?

What do you think the new car will do to the value of the MK1 cars? (not that I'm thinking selling)

Anymore reviews likely, I saw the one in Evo

Martin its differcult to say but I don't think it will have that much of a impact as there are so few sold. I would thing interest in general is a positive thing.

Like i said,i assumed there weren't much difference in performance as the type 20 was quicker in that d1gb attack

I am thinking of bringing my ra down for either a forged type 20 conversion or type 25 so this is why i ask.I dont want to loose the 2.0l turbo impreza trade.(If it does not sell by the end of the month)

What are the advantages of a 2.5?

Maybe you should drive it before slagging it off?
it is seen by many including myself as the ultimate impreza, research always helps.litchfield has got a very good reputation hence evo 5 star rating.t20 likely faster on track just but t25 is likely best for roasd and only very very good for track

Not certain but was the T20 JP Tuner spec or STD T20 ??

Jugger,
And I not dissing the T25 Personally I'd think hard about converting the RA, Converting a Limited Edition totally to another Special edition, i'm not sure !!

if mine was an RA, i'd seriously consider the JP Tuner "Modification" which retains the 2.0L rather than "conversion" to a T25

If mine was a Spec C i'd be looking at converting to the T25, that 2.5L Cosworth engine is absolutely awesome

IMHO

Jugger's I still confused with where your original question came from at no point did a Type-20 go quicker than the Type-25 in the one Time Attack it entered?? The Type-20 is very quick but the Type-25 is faster still. The GP Edition is a whole different animal, it is designed for going around tracks and features exactly the same chassis as our full race car. It also where extra sticky road legal Dunlops which is why it was quicker around a circuit.

Hope that is a little clearer.

Cosworth don't build a 2.0 engine at the moment but they are about to release some 2.0 parts soon.

Maybe just adding to the confusion here but ...

... didn't a Litcho 2L Spec C with T20 mods do better than the Powerstation T25 at the Tuner GP? Maybe thats what Juggers is on about.

Don't remember exactly. There was some restriction on the T25 I think ... had to have an exhaust bung or something to make noise regs. Plus the old I think the T25 was based on a standard STi so the Spec C had equal or better power/weight.

I'm sure Iain will put me right ...

The T20 that Litchfield's ran at last years Tuner GP produced 380bhp and over 370ft lb of torque. Obviously the wick had been turned up from the "standard" MY06 Type 20 that's currently available.

PowerStation ran a development version of what is now the "new" Type 25, but I think it may have suffered turbo problems.

There's a review here http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/tunergp.asp along with a nice video clip with some catchy music.

Plus theT25 was only completed and started for the first time the night before the meet.

Doesn't give much time for bedding the motor in.
