I'd be very careful if I were you with whoever does the work, as 1200 seems very, very cheap. You're looking at over double that for a fitted engine from someone like API who are renouned as quality specialists. Are you 100% sure the engine has done a mere 40k miles? It must be the rarest engine around at that mileage, I'm assuming that the engine is the same age as your car.
I've made the mistake before of going for the cheapest option on an old car and it was a complete and utter nightmare from start to long finish.
If things go **** you're looking at an expensive nightmare if it all goes wrong.

yeah i hear what you are saying and the guys doing it are impreza specialists... its also got a 3 month warrenty, so hopefully all should go well..
thing was before i ranted it a bit and paid the price... this time i will be taking advice from ppl a bit more...
first thing after the engine is a front mount intercooler, as this seems to be a cause of a lot of engine probs where the top mounted ones just are not enough.

Me personally i dont think that thats anything a thicker oil and a good hammering down some backroads by some joyriding little chavs wont fix.
You may end up with some *** burns on your buckets though from their weed so put a no smoking sign on your interior mirror.
