I like the old T25 and even bought a reg plate for when I bought one. But at 31k+ I thought it was a bit steep so decided to wait until a used one came up at a more affordable price but alas the wife had other plans so I bought a JDM STi instead. Now Litchfield has a used one which is 24K which is now getting closer to my price range but now I want the new version, always the case never happy.
I expected the new version to be a similiar price to the old one or even cheaper as I thought well it's already a 2.5 - DOH!
Can't see many people going for it at 40k+ though, as there now taking it into some other serious cars price bracket, like a Noble M400 or Lotus Elise 240 supercharged.

Don't get me wrong I love my Scooby and the performance per £ but if I was looking at spending 40k then I would be swayed towards the Noble or Lotus.

I thought about the alterantives before ordering mine, the bonus is that it seats four and has a decent boot other options were the RS4 or M3 but they were more expensive and not as fast

After my old T25 the only thing I could replace it with was a newer one and whilst the engine spec was finalised I decided to have it as a Type 20 until my engine is/was ready.

If you can't afford the Type 25 then the Type 20 is more than capable of entertaing you

Does a car become an official T25 if they have had engine and suspension packages are carried out i.e. can be badged a T25??

I'm not sure as they are all numbered. I reckon I would have to go through Litchfields first as it's Kinda there limited edition and I reckon Powerstation wouldn't do it unless it came through them. To be honest I would only do it if I blow up my engine. Although I am keen to change the suspension as I'm getting a bit of understeer and the common newage sti shocks knocking

It would interesting to find out. If someone were planning an engine build of similar money to the having the Cosworth item installed then might it not be better to go the route that not only gets you a big power engine but also a into very exclusive, and highly desired model category. By becoming a T25 surely you could command a slightly higher asking price come selling time than if you were selling an STI with a forged engine build?

You can have leather as standard with the new one. I added it to mine

I read that article and nearly soiled my briefs. The way they describe the car got my juices flowing.....

I wondered why you waited so long

Well, baring in mind that the new T25 has the same power to weight ratio as the new 997 Turbo, and assuming it has the same or very similar performance. It should do 0-100mph in about 8.7sec or there abouts.

Damn, I want one even more now.

Blimey, that is fast

I wonder what this new car has done to the resale value of the original T25's out there (mine included)
