Purely voluntary Em. I can't very well invite 100 people along and then after they've committed tell them they have to pay

Nevertheless if someone were to stand at the entrance with an official collecting bucket then I am sure that people will be willing to donate something even if its just the loose change rolling around the car

It would be great to do something for them. They do a job that none of us would be brave enough to do and it's scandalous that they receive no funding from the government

Did you tell them what we were doing Em? What did they say?

i will more than happily stand at the entrance to the thurrock car park and collect off every scoob that comes along. Even if it's only a few quid per car, that's better than nothing......although as long as whoever drives me dosent mind being at the services about 2hrs early??!!!! lol

I didnt mention too much to them about it, just briefly said what we were doing and she thought it sounded good.....more than happy to see if they want to get more involved next year though if you want me to......these things take a while to organise so now is probably not too early to be thinking about next year believe it or not!

me and chris are happy to collect if we can get there early enough (damn chris working in retail and having to work on saturday's lol).....when i said kind of like an entry fee didnt mean compulsory, meant people donate if they want / what they can.

Superb. I take it you are driving? It may be interesting to get some shots out of the car windows etc, lets hope Dave can make it and bring his camera mount with him
