chris, yes mate we should have gone that way last night, although my eye sight was a little worse for wear
and as for torid, or whatever ridiculous name you're using now, please invite them. What we do on this run is not illegal, and therefore nothing the police can do!!!!

• Meet at Thurrock Services Main Car Park @ 9 p.m. (Junction 30 - M25).
• Leave services @ 9.30 p.m. and join M25 towards Dartford Crossing.
• Through tolls and continue M25 to junction *1b* Princes Road Interchange.
• Leave via slip road, circumnavigate roundabout and re-join M25(A282) back towards crossing.
• Through tolls again and through Dartford tunnel. Spread out a bit at the toll booths so we all get through in a reasonable time.
• Exit M25(A282) at junction *30* (2nd exit after tunnel) and join A13 – London bound.
• Continue A13 – The leaders will need to keep the pace down a bit here to allow everyone to catch-up due to traffic lights at M25/A13 junction. I suggest the leaders do about 40 in the 70 zone just to let the stragglers at the tunnel catch up.
• Watch out for new speed cameras on A13 around Beckton/A406 junction. In particular, immediately you descend the Movers Lane flyover there is a 40mph speed camera.
After a few miles you will pass a BP petrol station on your left. You will shortly after have to follow the signs for “Central London/Blackwall Tunnel.
• Stay in the left hand lane on A13 approaching the Canning town flyover, once over the flyover continue STRAIGHT AHEAD towards Blackwall Tunnel. You pull up at some lights with the Financial Times building on your left. You need to be in the left hand lane at this point as we will be turning left at the next lights to join the Blackwall Tunnel southbound. We will get queued up at this point, don’t worry.
Once through the tunnel take the first proper slip road (ignore the tiny left turns) and turn left at the roundabout down Millennium Way. Follow this all the way to the end and park up at the side of the road to regroup in front of the Millennium Dome….
We then head off after the regroup, back up Millennium Way to the roundabout and Take the 3rd exit (basically turn right!) Keep in the very right hand lane. It is a one way street at this point so keep to the very right.
Rejoin the A102 and go through the Northbound Blackwall tunnel. Watch out for the speed camera just before the entrance. Keep in the left hand lane and take the very first slip road as you exit.
This has some traffic lights, at this point keep in the very right hand 2 lanes and continue straight on. Do not take the left hand lanes. Continue along East India Dock Road. Keep your eyes open for the Rotherhithe Tunnel entrance…… we are not doing that this year but we take the next left down Butcher Row.
Keep in the RIGHT HAND LANE and continue along The Headway.
• As you approach Tower Bridge Keep in the left hand or middle lane but DO NOT turn left onto the bridge!
• Keep the Tower of London to your left and follow the road.
• The first bridge we pass under is London Bridge, make some noise but watch out for the Cameras along this stretch.
• Continue along Upper Thames Street and through the Blackfriars underpass
• Continue along Embankment (with the river to your left) under Waterloo Bridge.
At all time keep the river to the left of you. If it isn’t YOU ARE LOST.
• Keep going until you come to a “T” junction at Big Ben, turn right and then keep in the left hand lane and turn left, keeping Parliament to your left.
• Keep going along Millbank, straight over the Roundabout at Lambeth Bridge and keep going again past Vauxhall Bridge.
• The leaders should at this point be able to pull up along the side of the road, this are is mainly residential/offices and should not be busy with parked cars, re-group if we can. There is a large layby just after the petrol station. Pull in here to regroup again.
• We then go UNDER Grosvenor Bridge and TURN LEFT onto CHELSEA BRIDGE
• Keep going straight on until you get to the roundabout and double back on yourself. The leaders will pull over along this road and allow the backmarkers to re-group. The park will be shut at this time of night.
• Retrace your steps over the bridge and turn right. The lights will split us up so the leaders will stop again to allow everyone to catch up. We can then head into Parliament square in convoy.
Follow your steps back along Millbank, into Parliament Square and back along the Embankment. Keep the river on your right hand side.
The Limehouse link might be shut at this point. If it is then turn left up Butchers Row and turn right at the end. After a mile we then TURN RIGHT into West India Dock Road/Aspen Way. It will be signposted for Docklands/Excel.
• Continue along Aspen Way (with Canary Wharf on the right) and exit to the left before the flyover. Turn right (4th exit) off the roundabout under the flyover and into McDonalds for a pit stop On exiting McDonalds, take the 3rd exit on main roundabout and stay in left hand lane to another roundabout with an Esso garage (NOT through tunnel!!!), take 2nd exit on roundabout towards A13.
• The Hardcore might want to go back to the Dartford Tunnels again for another couple of runs, if not then it’s the End of the Run
• Be careful, drive safely and within speed limits. No-one wants their evening ruined by getting 3 points. Flame the tourists……
Remember the toll charge is £1 each way so make sure you have some £1 coins to keep the flow fast through the Tunnels
Caution....There are loads Speed cameras on this route with limits including 20mph, 30mph, 40mph & 50mph! Keep your eyes peeled!!! (and the Road Angels updated ) You have been warned!

Had these printed as a cheers for Milamber, can have more done if there is interst, possibly making a small charity donation as well, say to the Air Ambulance?
Not officially but I would be surprised if they weren't aware. We have been doing this for a number of years now and I am not aware of a single incident involving the police (well maybe one for no seatbelt).
As someone else said the police actually come round and chat with us when we park up at mcdonalds.
The key points to remember are NO SPEEDING and NO MISBEHAVING.

Em, no they're not. No reason to. We dont do anything, ie speeding etc which could cause offence and therefore no need.

definitely interested in a couple of those. Donations to the air ambulance is a good idea too. Has it been suggested that the whole night is for charity, maybe £5 or £10 per car (voluntary of course)....100 cars and £10 a car is a tidy sum for the charity!

I have a feeling people would pay NOT to see Cornelius dressed as a woman too.
I would be happy to put money towards charity for this, you never know the bucket at the entarnce idea may well be the way to go. At least then everyone has the option of donating as little or much as they want...and it is for a good cause.

I think putting money towards a charity is a fab idea....just shows we ARE NOT typical boy/girl racers and I think Essex Air Ambulance is a brill charity!!! I'd definitely put money in the bucket!!!

There is some talk about having a collection for one of the ESC charities at the tunnel Run.
Nothing is compulsory but a gesture for the kind people at Essex Air ambulance would be greatly appreciated by them. It looks like we will have official collecting buckets in time which is fantastic.
Feel free to donate or not donate the choice is yours.
If anyone has any old mobile phones then we can give them to the air ambulance appeal also.
