Thatcher's straight from the brewery for me - I live in Edinburgh so have to take it home with me as hand luggage when I come back on the plane from visiting family near Bristol - now that's dedication!
Never forget the time I needed the loo at the airport, had to carry the container in with me - one of the women standing outside nearly fainted as I trundled out of the bathroom with what must have looked to her like a gallon of ****!!

When I lived in Zummerzet my local was a little old country pub in the middle of nowhere called "Tuckers Grave" and it was run by two old ladies. They used to make their own scrumpy with all sorts of bits in it, mouse crap, maggots, apple, dirt, it was more of a meal than a drink but by christ, if you had more than four pints of that you needed medical treatment. I lost count of the times blokes collapsed playing shove h'penny whilst drinking that

Isn't Magners the Carling of the Cider world?
Over marketed tat bought in the masses by people with no taste buds?
Give me a pint of Badger any day.

Quite fond on Magners on hot sunny days. BIG fan of the new Thatchers ciders - especially Katy . Or any organic cider - sounds bizarre, but they actually taste of apples....

I too am a fan of Magners! The only thing being that my local only sell the 'average' size bottles rather than the bigger sized ones you get in bigger bars. Been drinking Magners throughout summer and am still loving it!!

Come on, its the juice of rotting Apples, no science to that, as kids we left a bucket of crab apples in water in the shed for a month or two and it smelled just like proper Cider, we werent trying to make Cider, it just happened, if we hadnt have put the Tadpoles in we probably could have drunk it and someone would be on here saying you cant beat a pint of Taddy Crabby.
I will drink it at a push, if its the choice between Cider and being sober, but isnt that the premise Cider has always worked on ?
Going to check whether the same few contributors to this thread are in the Snake/Lizard ownership one.
