Nice looking car mate. Although only thing i'm not keen on are the front & rear lights.
I could always sell them & buy original lights
If only my FTO had sold!!
Don't suppose you wanna do a PX for a 1998R FTO GP Version R Aero Series? White with 35k miles, recent cambelt & tensioner, fluid change etc. Clifford 600, Sony MP3.
My car + bit of £ your way
It should be back on Autotrader at some point this weekend

5 months to sell a typeR?
The car is either not very appealing to potential typeR buyers or you've placed the price too high. The Lexarse lights don't do it any favours.
Must be some sort of record.

From: Somewhere in Kent, sniffing some V-Power
Then why hasn't it sold?
I'm sorry, but many people on here, including myself, have offered very good advice regarding his advert.
If the seller wishes to ignore the advice, thats his problem.
As scoobynutter555 said, get rid of those chavy lexus lights. May cost you £100 for some sti lights (once you have sold the lexus ones) but it will transform the look of the car.
How long have you owned it?
Any paintwork?
Condition of brakes?
Engine?
Gearbox?
Exhaust?
How often is it washed/waxed?
How many miles have you covered in it?
Any problems that you have had fixed?
These are some of the questions that people may have, but because you are so vague with the description, many won't bother to ask.
It will take you 15 minutes to write a good quality advert.
DO IT and get your car sold!
Sorry to be so harsh, but being nice, isn't getting your car sold!

I've bought and sold a dozen or so cars on here, Autotrader and Ebay etc. I'm not having a pop at the advertiser, but it's obvious that the guy needs good solid advice on this. No-one as far as I've read has taken the ****, but some on here need to grow thicker skin.
As Chris has said, there is a range information that should be provided up front, so any potential buyer doesn't have to mess about. Although there may have been tyre kickers etc, some of these may well have been potential buyers who wouldn't have bothered turning up to view the car in the first place if a proper decscription was in place.
TBH the original poster has gone some way towards this with his edit to post number one last week with a more descriptive advert. But, I still think the rear lights should go. The car in itself looks clean enough and the history seems ok. But I'd be inclined to bin this thread and start a new one and get more pictures up of a decent quality. Put the car on Ebay again, this time pics of everything even the service book with both sets of keys, all the paperwork you can get, take pics of it and in it goes. Spellcheck the advert and push as much information as you can in the advert. Go to Autotrader online, then stick 2 weeks online advert in, costs less than £20 IIRC.
Ask yourself what questions you would ask a buyer and try to answer them in your advert, make it as easy as possible for that buyer.

Why don't you just concentrate on selling your own car !!! Don't worry your little head about mine and my advert. This car is an IMMACULATE type R and will sell to the right buyer, so thanks for the input, but no thanks...!!!!
Is £7000 too high for a decent type R?
Leecal,
Give me your details on the car and I'll sort a new add out for you, I'll come down and take some new pictures for you as well.
Its a shame the timing was not right when I eventually sold mine, I'd have bought it off you at that price, I think it was up for £8000 then though.
