Bug*er. Just seen this run out. Just got back from Paintballing/clay pigeon shooting/landy driving/quadbiking at this place: www.holmescales.com
Must've been half pi55ed from the night before cos it took me a while to realise i drove one of these:
http://www.santanauk.com/stormforceinside.asp
before the real landy!!
Would've gone on this too, although changing gear is quite painful with all the bruises from Special Forces style leaping and sliding in the paintball arena.

What a turnout, lets see if I can remember everyone, as the list did a runner halfway through the thread
cw42 (nice and early to fill up next door-whoever came up with the idea of having a car meet right next door to an optimax station deserves a medal!
)
scoobyverysoon (still having backend problems!
)
martin sti (witness to those problems all night-"are we all together martin?", "no, we're in a different county!"
)
scooby-rock (I'll put you down as attended
you made it to the carpark at least)
carlpcross (nice to meet you, and someone else who knows what the "right" colour is for an sti
)
scoobygav555 (welcome back mate, great to see you in my rear view chasing down Glossop road again, it's been too long
)
jaydut (hope you had a good time, car will need washing when you see it tomorrow)
zip dave (re070's, in the wet? you must be mad!
)
scooter (mad, mad, mad overtaking!
)
br3tt (and the lovely steff
-nice to see you both, it's been too long, hope you get your driveway done soon)
Great night had by me, I was a bit worried I'd slow you all down tonight, as I keep telling everyone I've no tread left on my tyres now, just legal. Conditions were very poor to start, and got gradually worse until the final sting in the tale at the top of the snake! That was, without doubt, the worse drive along the snake I've ever had. Not just the thick fog, but the combination of that, the roadworks and the traffic as well. But, that actually made the night, knowing I'd managed to get past that bloody caravan, which you lot obviously hadn't
See you on the next one, I'll have some decent tyres by then

Was a good night out as usual.
Coming down the Snake at the end my daughter intervened and made me think twice about following Gav and Carl in to the tight left hander at the bottom.
Plus I remembered that we were pulling in around the corner.

.... Must have missed that one.
Now I know how to launch all 4 tires off the ground.
. Shame there was no camera on that one, i would have liked a copy of the pic for the wall.
Great night out.... Thanks
Well, what an interesting first run back out! had a great night, highlight seeing scooter get all four wheels airborne!
Good to see a few new faces and one old one
Glad Carl made it out for his first run, i'm sure he'll be back for a few more
Good idea not following me Martin, didn't realise we were pulling in around the corner
Real chuffed with the way my car performed in the wet, can only get better as i get more used to the car!
Here's to the next one,
Gav..

Great trip out once again, very slippery but, a great challenge all the same, somehow managed to keep in on the black stuff.
CARAVAN so that was the white thing that we passed in a flash.
Daughter enjoyed her first trip out with SMACS, once again thanks for a great trip out Chris.
Next time out should have own radio.

big thanks chris for a cracking route - just a shame about the weather - must say Gavs car sounded
thats when I could catch up to you lot
- my **** fell out a couple of times on some of those slippery corners. also enjoyed the blast through that tight twisty long road, I was impressed with the new ARB and Droplinks doing their jobs.

I think I'll be ordering mine in the next couple of days, now that the credit card has moved on to the next month.
