Mate I was taking the "P". I'm sure the list of things people like about the scoob far out weighs the hates.

Shark man was funny though. All those things in one car?????

Loler about MPG <--- Why buy a scooby if you want good MPG loler!!!!

Lets turn some of these hates in a more positive outlook.

1) Cleaning - I now have an intimate knowledge of cleaning products and processes
2) Kerbs - I now know where all the high kerbs are in my county!!!
3) Car Parks - I know which car parks have the best space, layout, etc
4) Waves - I'm the member of a happy wave club and i wave at all drivers (I own a newage and I'm an IT techy type and love it). Those who don't wave back maybe didn't see me, were concentrating on the road or some similar reason. If you own a Scooby you have to be a nice decent person
5) Rev counter driving - I know the speed im going by looking at the rev counter, whats the mph gauge all about
6) understeering is relative - compared to a 'normal' car I drive in a straight line (cured though with geomo setup, whiteline goodies and cool springs)
7) Lag - Don't know about this, PPP'd and WRC350'd yeehaw
8) Image - all the McDonald possie love me and I'm worshipped by the local kids! Parents hate me because when I bring my children to sports training, etc there kids all ask how fast is it, dad why cant we have one of these. I know the women are thinking if he's got such a good car he must be good at other things <--- I like to think....
9) Petrol Stations - I think I will go on to mastermind and my subject is "Shell Petrol stations and the Optimax variety"
10) I'm not quite the expert on oil yet I here that takes years of debate to get to that level. I can only admire all your knowledge on this important subject.
11) Ergonomics - I have gained an intimate knowledge of how not to design the layout of buttons in a car thanks Subaru. I mean what is the point of that manual spray button where it? I mean you would want to press that button just before heavy acceleration or during but this is probably the worst time to press it. Newspaper - Man dies pressing manual spray button hands trapped in steering wheel..... auto spray installed
12) Music recording - There is a saying that if you get crap speakers in a studio and can get a recording to sound good on them they will sound good on anything. I just use the subaru sound system as the reference instead yeehaw. But solved by new install.

Gotta love ya subaru

Absolutely spot-on. I reckon someone at Subaru had a big laugh when they were specifiying the horn. Oh yes it's awesome with the burble from the exhaust and the vroom tsssshhh of my DV but I try to avoid using the horn as it's so embarrasing.

meep meep indeed

It's been known for quite a while on old UK classics. Not sure if a STi V5 will be affected though, but I'll digress anyway....

Basically, you hold 2nd gear, off boost at light throttle at around 3000+rpm for somewhere around and over 10 to 20seconds, say whilst going round a large island or following a slow caravan. When you plant the throttle (i.e to do an overtake), the turbo kicks in, but your left with a lack of oomph and thinking..."err, is that it???". Looking at a boost guage confirms that all the turbo is doing is 0.5 bar. Change gear, or back off and reapply the throttle and you get full boost again.

Rumour has it that its some daft ECU map for drive by emissions.
