Been there, nearly done that Was offered a car in the RAC if I could find £15k of sponsorship. Too young and stupid to know how to raise that kind of cash, and probably too old to get an offer now

Just got off the phone from HDC now! £125 + vat fitted for both rear shocks! Can do it anytime tomorrow really! Now then the question is this do I get the shocks from HDC or do I get them from Peninne Subaru at £70 quid for the pair and get HDC to fit them???

 

Get a price for just fitting, I bet he'll charge more if you buy them elsewhere. I would

 

I bet he would charge £50 quid just for the fitting? £25 a side or something! May be best just get the package deal from him then theres no messing around! Double check my finances this afternoon and get it booked in for tomorrow at some point. May have to cut back on the chicken for a week or 2! lol! Might ask him how much he charges for a cambelt change also tomorrow out of interest!

 

He did my cambelt service (oil (mine), filter (I think mine), coolant and belt) for £206 all-in.

 

Peninne Subaru quoted me £200 quid for cambelt and that included changing some leaking gaskets that I have and an oil change! I will do a price comparison tomorrow. Once it's mechanically sound then I want a de-cate downpipe for a few extra horses!
