I believe you work for the police, right? Wouldn't you be better off working with one of the mobile phone networks to do your analysis. I know that at my current client they have a load of test gear, can inject SMSs with whatever MSISDN you like, etc.

 

Spoofing MSISDN isn't difficult - we get our data straight from the provider. They need to know who to bill for the message, so they generally get it right
