It's waaaaay cheaper to run than the Scoob
me
They can still be driven with knackered Maf's but they lose grunt, and return too good to be true MPG.

Turn the traction control off and it lights the rears all the way through to fourth... if that's lost grunt I can live with it...

Mine was deifinitely "cheaper" to run than my STI5 Type R. Mainly down to service intervals and being slightly more economical! ROFL!

TC off is definitely the way forward. Just don't give it too much gas out of Ex-Muhle and find yourself running out of talent like I did! LOL

Revised piston rings were fitted from 02/00 build onwards - facelift was 09/00.

Mine is 06/00 and hardly uses a drop

Mine costs about the same as my Scooby to run. I totally love it and can't see why more people with Scoobys don't make the change. 20 - 23 MPG and a new set of tyres last time cost me £360 for Dunlop SP9000.

DO IT

buy my M5 its for sale. Don't under estimate the running costs, buy the best you can, it isn't all about age and mileage. A car with 50k on the clock and not looked after will bite you on the ***, buy a 90k miler that is well looked after and you'll be a happy man!!
