Right I'm finally going to try a post following my first meet last Thursday. Firstly great turn out at the Old Brickworks to start off the convoy, I enjoyed meeting Simon and Corradoboy and a few others, very friendly people indeed. I sort of enjoyed following Corradoboy to the Foxglove apart from one particular corner where I nearly became one with a field. (You know what I'm talking about Corradoboy) lol. Excellent driver and a very nice bloke indeed. Big thanks to Simon for leading me home after the meet failing which I'd still be trying to find my way home now. lol! Scott next time you decide to buzz us at Tong make sure you warn us in advance when you flew past my ears bled! Only kidding mate sounded absolutley awesome when you flew past us. Enjoyed my night and Iwill defo be coming to the next meet without fail, I will probably bring the girlfriend next time aswell.

Corradoboy I didn't realise you were a Pudsey lad, I work in Pudsey Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.

Big thanks again to everybody for welcoming me into the gang.

bbs.scoobynet.com

Update all your bookmarks, favourites etc with .com and it should be ok. You may also need to empty your cache...

Windows 2000/XP:
Fire up a Command Prompt (Start Menu>Accessories) and execute the command:
ipconfig -flushdns

IWANA.. No issues mate.. You'll find everyone as equally freindly... Apologies for not getting to say Hi... but with the EGM and attempting to get to the bar for a beer, I was a otherwise occupied.

If you make the next meet.. I'll definately say Hi..

BTW.. If Dave is trying to sell your a Mac, then stay well clear. NO ONE buys Mac's. Ever.

Also, the Flush DNS Command is not really OS specific, so even a Mac can get affected. Dave's referring to one of many scenarios, as it may be your Internet settings around TTL being above 1 second..

Alan, no probs I realise you were busy heading the meeting etc, we will speak next time. I don't quite know what the problem is with my computer, had problems with scoobynet since it cam back up the other day.

It keeps batting on about admin need to add domain to whitelist????

Very baffling indeed.

Very tempted to throw the thing outa the window! lol

ALL the big newspapers in London are struggling to buy several hundred each of the outgoing G5 Powermac to ensure their key design apps will run at full potential until the software developers get their heads around making them universal for the new Intel Pro machines. The Intel machines however are awesome.

Mac's also run Windows now, so even the blind faith in an inferior operating system is no excuse not to embrace their style, beauty, power, elegance, stability and friendliness. For domestic use I cannot understand why you all trouble yourselves with the hassle of such an unstable, unreliable, unfriendly, unattractive OS, running in ugly beige or black boxes that make your homes look like 1970's offices, when you could have one of these making a 21st century style statement...

...whereas PC manufacturer Gateway offer this beauty...

I think I'm gonna be sick

I'm waffling again aren't I

I won't mention virus'

OK. Couple of possibilities... A White list is usually associated with SPAM email and would contain all the URL's (websites) that you say are OK to accept incomming mail from.

Try this first......

Don't login, just click on 'post new message' and you should get another message asking you to log-on, logon and try again...

I believe there's still some issues with Scoobynet after the recent break.. so make sure you're using the .com and not .co.uk

If not...

Do you use a Google or Yahoo Toolbar and / or GMail? If so, these toolbars sometimes uses SPAM Mail Whitelists. They may need setting up to add Scoobynet to this whitelist. Best thing is to remove these Toolbars as they can be trouble if not configured properly.... (I've read the Terms and conditions of the Google toolbar (part of my job) and it is scary...)

Do you have a SPAM filter setup in any Antivirus, Firewall or Internet security package? The spam filters on these may also use Whitelists for email protection.... check them.

Do you use a separate SPAM blocker? This too may need Scoobynet ading to the Whitelist or simply removing...

If you use a decently configured Broadband router and Windows firewall, then I'd suggest you'd be safe from the most the net can throw at you if you use a decent AV programme on the side and a Spyware blocker like Windows defender (if you ave a proper copy of Windows)..

HTH

Er, yes forgot to mention before we set off that you'd be following the WYIOC member with the worst sense of direction, even with Sat Nav I can still manage to make it into a magical mystery tour! Some bloody scary roads we went down, may have been ok in daylight but not much fun at night. Still awesome straight to finish off with before junction 39, will have to try and find that one again Good to meet you and we'll sees you again soon.

Or HDC Subaru. A little closer and usually a little cheaper.

State of the roads is probably why I need some new shocks! Been quoted £100 for a pair by HDC Subaru and £70 for a pair at Peninne Subaru. Then I gota get em fitted, that shouldn't that bad though I dont think. Should be fine for Thursday AM Corradoboy, will confirm sometime tomorrow if that's ok?
