I had a tree outside the window of my old flat and in the summer generally slept with the window open, as you do. This particularly reminds me of the morning I was woken up, still pished from the night before, by what sounded like a cat being shafted with a hot poker. I popped my head up to look out the window and there was a squirrel on a branch about 2 foot away peering in. I promplty closed said window and went back to sleep. Strangely, I dreamt the little ****** had managed to knaw its way through my double glazing, through my duvet cover and most of the way through my head. I have never looked at squirrels the same way again 4 years on.
But anyway back to the point. Theres not much you can do about it apart from shut your window and sweat your bawz off.

I love hearing birds start singing in the morning, especially when I'm on nights. Gives me a boost to think I only have a couple more hours before I can go home to bed!!
