Sorry Fuzz but Gloucestershire doesn't end at Cheltenham I'm afraid - us poor sods around the Cirencester area are under Thames Water and they need all the precious water to keep the roads and paths hydrated! That's how for the 3rd year running, Thames Water are proud to be the "leaky pipe world champions"!

:-) I live in the Sarf, and I consider Watford as being North. Infact, the way I see it, is that Watford is a sea side town, as from there , to Norway is all sea.

Anything above Watford, just isnt worth thinking about, there's no money, jobs, prospects up there :-)

We may be suffering a water ban, but we are so rich down here that I wash my car with bottles of Evian water ! Doesnt everyone ??

do a **** surprise on the old tw@t
Dog poo in a paper bag. Place bag on his doormat. Light bag. Knock on door. RUN RUN RUN.
Twitch throught your curtains whilst cunningly sniggering in a mutley esque manner.

I have another alternative if he drives.

Being the kindly sort of fellow that I am, those of you from 'daaaarn saaaaarf' who wish to water their garders, I am offering the use of my outdoor tap. I has a standard B&Q hose connection fitting and reasonable pressure. I can hit the neighbours barby from behind the big bush, just to the left of my new decking.

I estimate that an appriximate hose length of 480-490 miles will allow delivery of water to 'that London'. Those of you between me and 'that London' are more than welcome to take a spur from the hose.
I am thinking M74, M6, M1 but open to suggestions.....

or you could just suck it up and move some where rainey

to recap: astraboy is busted using a hosepipe.
old man reports him as is his civic duty
astraboy thinks on his feet and pulls a blag
old man is ridiculed on scoobynet as being nosey.

yet...
there was a thread not so long ago about how to shop your neighbours using a hosepipe

Actually I wasnt busted, I really did stick to the rules!
I had a bath and re-used the water
Its the bloke who is in the wrong.
However, I have come up with a plan.
21 notes, to be posted to every house in the street bar mine.
"Please note that there is an informant living in the locality who has taken it upon themselves to report all instances of usage of hosepipes to the waterboard. I know this because I received a threatening letter from the waterboard asking me if I used a hosepipe last week.
That fact that I was siphoning used water from the bath and the hosepipe was dangling out the bedroom window in order to acheive this seemed not to have been reported to the authorities. However, upon mentioning this, they agreed that what I was doing was legal and not a breech of the hosepipe ban.
However, the fact remains we are being watched, by person or persons unknown.
With that in mind, I have copied this note to everyone in the street.
Be mindful of what you do in the open. You are being watched."

Why don't you invite him to one of your "raves" and try and make friends with him? I'm sure he'd be great at all that repetitive dancing malarky you lot get up to, and then you can write us a 2000 word description for the non-scooby related section?

Last time we visited my drought stricken parents in the south we took a bottle of Yorkshire water with us to give to them as a gift as we have sooo much of it oop here

Then, when they came oop here to visit us we let them have a go of our hosepipe which was a real treat for them, bless

Since the hosepipe ban i have realised something - that i can do just a good a job with a bucket. It almost seems quicker now. Amazing. 2 buckets of cold water and my long handled car brush and she's done.
