Neil thanks for the email. December will be my best bet as the Network Q is on 25th November. Pubs you are speaking about are all ok areas for a meet. The Bull Inn on the A5 at Mancetter/Witherley looks good and convienient A5 M69 M6 or M42 all very local to the area. The Milestone at Hinckley and maybe Griff House opposite the cinema on the island A444. just afew options for you to pick from. Dave.

Would like to pop along to a local meet, now I've got my new exhaust and sound like a proper scooby

I'm pretty flexable, so I'll just look out for the when/where once you've decided...

Cheers

Cool

Great suggestions comming in lads and lasses

We will wait till next week to decide on a venue after all your reports come in. The Griff sounds good as its easy to find and has its own good size car park so a few shandies in the car park should be ok.

Rob got your mail cheers m8

Clare cheers for the offer got enough parking spaces for 20+ scoobies

Date wise it sounds like it might be December 2nd as I might be in Devon the weekend b4 and no one has refused this date.

Cheers

Yep, got loads of room. Really pi$$ off the old trout next door who doesn't even like the fact that we sometimes have 2 cars parked outside my house!

Hi guys

Andymcc, we havent had a drive at a meet yet but I know of only a few people who were interested last time this issue was raised. Others were against it due to problems they had encountered on previous drive events. Also IMHO it depends on the weather, if its a bit icy or pi22ing it down I know where I will be. In the Pub . We could always drive (via the long way ) to Clares in Hinkley and enjoy her hospitality and pi22 off 'the old Trout' next door .
Lets see what the rest of the crew think before making a decision.

AndyBond, Yeah mate come on down bring and the Mrs it would be good to c ya again. Dont worry I will bring my trouble and strife and they can talk about tupperware or flower arranging or something .

Si, Green 4 dr, great choice , nothing to do with me owning one m8 .

The Griff house/pub area is sounding popular

Cheers

The things i do 4 u people i dunno hangovers just shouldn't be allowed Righty ho then anyway news on the cinema boozers pros & cons. 1stly there frankie & bennies italian restaurant & bar. This is oposite the cinema & as such has a ridiculously large car park out back which at this sort of time has shed loads of room there, i exaggerate not there's enough room for 50 scoobies to all be doing doughnuts at the same time! They also have bar staff & food at the times we're looking at. Slight downside if it's a necessity is that the car park isn't actually part of their gaff & as such they can't let u take their booze into the car park. The 2nd pub , the bermuda park, just past the cinema by McDonalds is very accomodating & the gaffer i spoke 2 Dean was very helpful & he is licensed to allow drinking in the car park. It's also steak house type thing so there's food on tap or alternatively Makky D's next door. Slight disadvantage with this location is while there were about 30 or so spaces in the car park at the time they were a bit spaced out so not ideal. Basically then Frankie & Bennies is perfect on the car park front although woodn't be able 2 drink in it, but could inside & Bermuda park un is most agreeable with regards drinking outside etc but car park maybe slightly inadequate There we go then people any thoughts? If drinking outside aint a priority then Frankie & Bennies gets my vote but wot r yer forts then? Hey & don't 4get u can always go in the cinema & pay extorsionate prices for beer & food if u so desire

Nice one si

No drinks in the car park, Booooooooo no good m8 I need a bass shandy to wet the whistle.
The other one sounds better but car park size aint too dandy so we will await others to reply on their venues b4 making judgement.

Anyway how come you didnt check out the Grif across the road ????? I know i know overcome by the powers of the mighty McDonalds Happy Meal with a new toy in every week .

Cheers for the reports Si.

OK then there is a pub called The Sunnyside 1 minute away from me which has a big car park, it is in Northumberland avenue just off Croft Road the B4102 heading out of town towards Stockingford,if it is raining there is a few pool tables etc but not to much food but then again who has eaten when we have met.If this sounds better i do not know how to do the map thing so someone else will have to do it and i will check it,also you can take beer outside because there are tables outside.

Hi All

Hey Si I thought you were taking it easy with your new car

Checked out the Grif last night, Landlord was happy for 20 cars in his car park, seems enough spaces for 50 cars. It is a Beefeater and has a beer garden which is between the car park and the enterance of the pub.

Listen to myself, beer garden! its not the summer anymore!

The pub is also very easy to find 'on' the 2nd roundabout on the A444 from M6 (J3 I think!). McDonalds is on the other side of the road along with the cinema.

Info for pub

Beefeater Restaurant & Pub
Griff House, Coventry Rd Griff
Nuneaton Warwickshire CV10 7PJ

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=europe&X=436000&Y=289000&scale=2 5000&width=700&height=400&gride=435837&gridn=28856 0&coordsys=gb&db=&overviewmap=&scale=25000&out.x=1 4&out.y=16

The pub is actually slightly higher up closer to the roundabout.

Or there is the Sunnyside that Andy mentioned, anyone else know of this pub. Sorry mate couldnt find it on multimap.

See what you all think

Cheers

Neal

I'll be up for that, easy to find.

I missed the Northampton one the other week, well miffed off as I just bought my first scooby (new WRX).

Anyone from Nothants going, we could meet up and go in convoy?

Yeah i just had a butchers @ the car park at the griff definately seems the best option as easy 2 find & get 2 & seemingly very accomodatingPresumably there aint sh*t loads of poeple there at the times we're looking at but even if so car park would be adequate still i wood of fort? Even despite roadworks nearby no probs getting in really The sunny is all well & good but it really aint that easy 2 find if yer not from the area
Woo hoo my sevice was surprisingly cheap a mere £90 although all they did was change oil & filter but still i fort scoobies were expensive 2 run? lol. Muppets didn't seem 2 no how 2 or were unwilling 2 reset ECU with the select monitor thou, any1 else had that problem?

I could possibly join the Northants convoy. Got to get a couple of things sorted on the car though and depending on how that hits my wallet I will hopefully be able to make this one

Hey,
I'll try and make the convoy but not sure where I'm going to be in the morning yet (charging around as usual probably). I will keep my eye on this thread and join in when I know what I'm doing. I was going to try and make the meet though.

Stevie B is your WRX Dark Blue?
