Hi Tim,
I've just got a KNA-DV3200 and I'l' be installing it (hopefully) in my 2005 STI........you say you used the head unit loom connector for the speed signal.......which wire was this.....can you remember?? I don't have the same head unit, but similar...mine's the 6029.
Does the speed sensor have to be connected?

As far as i know, yes the speed signal does need connecting, the reverse connection is not so important, but the unit does get a little confused when reversing.
The speed signal wire is green with a yellow stripe which i found behind the head unit as shown on page 2 of the FAQ page https://www.scoobynet.com/ice-2/2985...posting-2.html
