THORSEBY JAP SHOW 2nd JULY
Unless they have changed the structure of the event from the last four years the public car park for joe public (with a jap car of course) is still in the same field as the show, earliy enough and it could be around the show and shine ring itself so it is no hard ship really.
Sorry to change the subject like but on the subject of my sub money mick, i did definately give you it at the furry triangle on the meeting night preparing for the N.B.O and funnily enough you said 'cheers mate ill note it down so i dont forget'

Right guys, I've just contacted the events organsier and he has very kindly 'at late notice' given us (WYIOC) a pitch for a club stand in the main arena. Limited to ten spaces only
This obviously gives us a good parking area on the events field, and saves us parking with the general population in the grounds main car parks.
Last year me Jackie and the kids had a really good day here, it was very well organised event with rides for kids and lots of trade stands.
And with it been an event for all Japaneese marques lots and lots to look at, some very nicely modded Evo's, Supras, MR2's, Honda's etc,
The Ford rally is again on the same day, and last year their were some stunning Escorts mkI's and II's let alone th e rest of the ford marques.
What's on:
Car Clubs
TradersJap
Jumble
Jet car
Concours
Show and shine
Art Gallery
Deer Park
Childrens Entertainment
WYIOC to Thoresby Jap Show Official Attendance List
14 club 'Member' stand places only!
1. Crafts
2. Sticky
3. Mick + Jackie Kids
4. L C Scooby
5. JB24 (que the your car i'll be dead by then)
6. Yatesy( with the new spoiler fitted)
7. Dan + Christine
8. wrx300scooby(without a cracked screen I hope)
9. Chris666 ( camping ??)
10. Chubbs Steve
11. Dazza Atoooom Honda powered
12
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please Please take note
The club stand places are obviously more prestigeous due to the parking being in the events arena, therefore fully paid up active club members get priorty.
I will have some 2006 WYIOC members stickers and wyioc.co.uk stickers, for those who want to pay their subs on the day. If your not a paid up member please let me know on here. so I can work out numbers for the stand.
We at WYIOC try to cater and cover for all members new and old, however, there is quite a lot of work goes into the organisation of these events, and now that the club has grown, it is becoming an increasingly difficult decision to select the people who should have first refusal on certain events where limitations apply beyond our control. I am sure you will all agree fully paid up and active members should always get priorty.

Guys and of course Girls
The event starts or opens to joe public at 10am, as part of my organizational responsibilities, the stand organizers must be there for 8am to get the pitch, and start to lay out.
I therefore, will be setting off from the trading post around 07:15am, I really could do with a bit of help on this, its a bit much for me to try and set up on my own. (Jackie & Kids)
In a perfect world I would suggest all stand cars get down there with me for the 8am deadline, this giving us strength by numbers for a good pitch, and making it far easier to set the stand out. Although I do understand that this early start may not suit everyone.
I suggest that the meeting/departure point is the trading post for all attendees.
07:00am meet and 07:15 depart for stand crew
08:00am meet and 08:15 depart for all other stand members.
This getting the later arrivals down in good time to get there positions on the stand and assist where necassary.
I am not in a position to guarantee the event organisers will give you access to the stand and events arena, if you arrive later than planned

I have spoken to the Events department of the Japs@Thoresby, and he confirms that general parking is in the car parking areas on your way into the Hall, and stand show cars only are all situated around the events arena

I'm willing to do the 7am thing, but as Ella will be bringing the kids leter I'll either be vanning it or cadging a CRAFTY lift.

No, any jap car if you wanted to be on a stand or privateer could park in the main field around the show ring, as I said I have attened this show for four years never been on a stand before as the club I was with previous never had big enough numbers interested, things may have changed but I can't see why as this what makes the show so good. Anything else parked in the car park eg people in fords, vauxhalls, bmw etc.
Here is a photo of the cars around the ring from last year.

I am simply going off what the parking staff and event organiser, to be honest they are all stand club cars, the evo boys were just out of picture shot, the Supra's were just round the corner, SIDC stand behind theirs, The south yorks stand under the tree's at the back, and if you look real close far back centre there is me
but hey if you have got on for the last four years goon on ya
as you say lets hope they don't spoil it
I remember it being hotter than it looks on that pic
