Pity I didn't see that in time. You shouldn't really syphon from the fuel sender hole in the car's interior, if you spill it or worse, set fire to it, it's on the interior and carpets before you know it. Plus it's quicker and just as effective to shove a 3ft hose down the filler pipe

Still, the spillage was in the mates car and not yours...Live and learn

Don't most cars have an anti-syphon gizmo in their filler necks these days?
