A good search on the internet should find web sites and contact numbers for the above.

Happy searching, Wolfie.
I actually tried calling ScoobyClinic on Friday, however there was no reply...as they do always seem to be be busy (which i guess is a good thing so emailed and am waiting on a reply..

I will try the other companies later today..

I went my own route as well, because i'd already forked out for a backbox and didn't want to sell that on and lose money, but mainly because all the tuners are miles away from me.

So opted for:

Afterburner Decat Downpipe £200
Afterburner Decat Pipe £100
Afterburner Centre £100
Ninja Backbox £225
Simota High Flow Panel Filter (Free with above)
Walbro 255L Fuel pump £82
Ported & wrapped headers & uppipe (Harveys Option 2) £400
Fitting £200
Andy F remap £600

Have a RR session planned for friday, so i'll see what figures comes from it. the car is transformed though. Andy reckons pretty much the same as the TSL package. Anywhere around there and i'm happy, anything more and i'll be well chuffed.

EVO magazine tested STi tuning packages offered by the main tuners.

May be worth getting a copy...can get you the issue number if you need?

What's in that 357 package then (link?), or is it extreme trickery on the ecu with just 333 parts?

The TSL package won the PPP-a-like section

OK just a idea, why not keep the downpipe cat you have then get rid of the centre cat and/or resonator box and then have the backbox of your choice (could keep the STi one if you want it quiet), then go for a remap from someone like Bob Rawle (highly recommended by me ), it wont have quite the power & torque of the other packages but it will pass the M.O.T. and will cost you a fare bit less

As i said just a idea

have done - however £3000 is far too much for 40 bhp extra over ppp with centre de-cat - £1500 would be plenty

when you can buy a complete newly built 6 litre chevy and shipping - with more power - for the same money -- ok - so it wouldnt fit - but you get my point - Scooby tuning is far too expensive for what you get

what happened to the Scooby Magazine project WRX - that was looking like same power for far less - based on a WRX!

My dear McFellow - you are to be congratulated - if the cost of reproducing these results are affordable - no cooler change will surely help on cost - but it is cooler up North!

If i was to consider the 03 WRX as a base rather than STi - for fast road use, what would i miss out on - how does the different diff set up show up in handling?

Surely the WRX motor is built to a far lower internal spec? - Seriously, just how practical is a 370 /370 for durable road use - I know you and Bob dont see eye to eye over engine reserves! - Will the 5 speed live with that torque?

What cost and spec reqd for min brake and suspension upgrades - like to retain comfort between WRX and STi and dial out some understeer and if possible the front torque squirm as one wheel becomes lightly loaded pulling out of tight corner

would i be better off basing on Sti and you changing turbo + other engine mods - brakes, suspension, transmission and engine far more sophisticated?

Goal is a genuine 360/360+ ish with great broadband drivability

Rather interested, if it all adds up

i went to powerstation and had just the decat miltek exhuast and remap

sourced my own green panel filter

the end result was 332bhp which is apparently good for the bugeye version engine

also i now have the Prodrive sportscat available for sale which tsl say is pretty much equivalent to their sportscat and wrc tech say is very good

steve

Nice spec there Mark, but I don't see how all those mods could make that sort of tourque.

Powerstations rollers give the figures in NM, so it would be worth double checking the source of the torque figure.

If you research the bits and pieces you should be able to get 330-340 for about £1000 using 2nd hand parts with the main cost being te remap. Don't think a fuel pump is required. The WR1 has 320std and it's ok.

You can pay double the price if you like to have someone sell you expensive parts to do the same job.

Once you start aiming over 330-340 on the std uk sti VF35 turbo you have to start running silly boost at air flow rates above it's performance limits (which it will do if forced by overheating the air) and pulling timing at parts of the map to compensate. This is irresponsible on a car to be called a daily driver imo.
