Wheres the best place to buy a TD05-18g from, Iwas hoping to get one overseas and save a bit but they dont seem a common as the vf34
Also Can the turbo be installed with standard ECU and upgraded at a later date?

Jon: How on earth did you get 1.75 bar!
Most we could map-in was 1.5/1.6.
I want to find the best place for a roller bearing 18g. I do not think AndyF does a roller version(?)
Please post if you find a good place.

To be honest I dont know I have sent andy an email asking him to comment.
I am running some logs tommorow with the datalogit to see what is going on.
After he mapped I pulled the heads and replaced the gaskets as the heads had "creaked" under nitrous. It turns out the head gaskets had been put on with silicone a big NO NO.
Once the car was put back together last week we took it out and got these results, we made a few other changes to the inake and catch can setup but nothing major.
I must say the car feels much faster than before the gasket change.
I will let you know the log results when I get them I dont know if running 103 octane gas in the car makes a difference?

I'm not convinced there is much difference between the sleeve and roller bearing turbos. With respect to the IHI range, the only real way to telll if you have a roller bearing version is by the sound on rundown. Its not like the roller versions are really quick spooling in comparison.
Jon - thats the boost i would have expected to get with the wastegate duty we were running on the day, I mentioned at the time that I thought something was holding it back a bit, hence all the exhaust/induction experiments. It would be good if you could send me a datalog.

Well mate I plummed for the 20G then changed to the 18G for one reason and another. Last delta dash showed power was 392/350. Not too sure how accurate but certainly quick.

Yes reano (mods as listed) as recommended at the time by Bob Rawle/ Andy F.
I'm with Swifty though. If I was going down this route today I'd me going with the MD321
