I'm not on Intel, so don't need Rosetta. When in Safari, WMV files open in a QT window and can be enlarged etc. I wish QT (mpeg, mpg, mp4) files did too, but they open in a browser window at size
Was working fine on PowerPC, but alas Windows Media Player does not work with Intel macs, and the Flip4Mac plugins for quicktime are PPC only at the moment, and I'm loathed to put QT into Rosetta mode simply to allow windows media playback, would rather wait for them to become Intel compatible plugins.
If I really need to view windows media files I'll fire up Parallels Desktop for Mac and view them under XP.
Marcus, I'm using Windows Media Player on my Intel Mac, works fine. I don't think it's supported or available for download any more.
Interesting, I do have a download of it somewhere, so will reinstall it. Am sure I did have it installed previously and things weren't working, I think it was mainly media files viewed from withing Safari.

You're right there, Safari suggests you play the files in the external Media Player. I use Firefox if I'm visiting a site heavy with embedded .wmv files and that works fine.

OK I'll give that a shot later, thanks for the additional info.
