£490 for MY00 wagon/25 year old - knew there was some advantage to living on an island (well expensive to go to the uk for bike races with it tho!)

'cos theres a stupidly low crime rate.

Plus max speed limit is 35 - cars like this are wasted over here unless you are regularly on the mainland!!

Can you suggest a better vehicle for taking MTBs to races around the UK?

Top Tip.

If your self employed and own 2 or more vehicles, why not try a fleet policy? I have 4 vehicles on cover, my99 uk turbo, a pug 206 and two 4x4s With Privilege Business insurance. For the lot, i'm paying just over £2k.

LOL this thread

Flirting, discussions on racism all mixed in with insurance quotes.

I paid about £380 quid, but then I took a £1000 excess and I'm an old git (43). My 01WRX no mods.

BTW I never really understand this issue of how we refer to other races being offensive. I suppose we just have to take that it *is* offensive, probably because of the way in which it used, i.e. to abuse people. I don't get offended being called a Pom, Roast Beef or Brit.

You're lucky!

If you had to insure it in N.Ireland you'd know all about it.

I'm nearly your age, and it costs me almost 1K to insure an MY05 UK STI.
