went to cadwell park on friday, booked on for an open pit lane full day. started out to be a great day although the track was wet still very enjoyable. that was until some numpties with there cars on the back of trailers finally fired up and hit the track and thought it would be great fun to leave a film of oil all the way round the bloody circuit. subsequently just about everyone who was there had a spin off track which luckily never resulted in any write offs but turned the day into a bloody nightmare. i spun my scooby twice, once wiping out a load of plastic bollards in the wooded area missing barriers by about 2 feet, and again at the end of the main straight aprox 80 mph bend. and my mate span his tvr 5 times (nothing unusual there) but the spin at half normal speed where a big patch of oil was waiting sent him backwards into the barriers costing him a nice £2000+ bill. why dont organisers of track days have seperate days for road cars and another day for race cars is beyond me. anyway just fancied having a moan cos i is proper pissed off.

you get sum propper tossers at track days, its a foooking shame.
tell me about it, it was a great day was lapping in 1min 58s to 2min 3 secs all morning even in the wet but oil went down about 1130 am and that was the day ruined for the rest of the duration. got some video footage from my mates tvr it was that slipery he was trying to follow me round the wooded section and every slight press of the throtle the rear tyres spun up and couldnt get traction at all. it was that bad he thought he had a tyre off the rim. will try and put video on here if i can figure out how to do it.
