it is....well done!!!!
sti-cki dont think anyone is saying what Ross did was right or wrong, he did what he felt he needed to do. So well done that man.
different people are brought up different ways so we will all have different ways of responding to said situation.
Now let's all have a big ESC group hug lol

Im glad Ross went and got help, otherwise things could have ended up worse.
To stay and take on 20 blokes on your own when they have already knocked a mate out may be your opinion Tripple, but sometimes it is best to say nothing if you dont have something nice to say, you are implying that Ross isnt a good friend which shows that you do not know him. You are judging someone you dont know.
Even tho in the situation it was the right thing to do im sure Ross will have questioned what if/could i have/should i have stayed and taken a beating.. etc etc. It is a lot easier to say what you would do but you were not there, you, I and everyone else does not know what was going on only Ross, Betts and Kev know and as far as im aware they all agree Ross did the right thing.
I think on this occasion Tripple you should have kept your opinion to yourself.

The trouble is that different people react differently in different situations and sometimes until you are in that situation you don't really know how you will react. Some people will stay and fight some people will try to get help because they think that will be the best way to help.
P.S. In this situation I think Ross did the right thing....not much 1 person can realistically do against 20!

Sorry to hear about your disagreement with the 20 Blokes, from reading the other posts, you could go on until the cows come home about what was right or wrong.
In my view so long as everyone is alive and breathing for themselves then these days you've had a result!!
Hope the bruising and swelling goes down soon

If it was posted he should have walked away then I would post that he shoudln't have, FROM MY OWN OPINION.
If my mate was laying there knocked out and still being beaten then I definately wouldn't leave him knowing one was pretty safe being locked in a restaurant.
I'll say it to you, would you leave a mate who was knocked out and still being beaten?
If you would then I i'm glad you're not a friend of mine.
I'm not playing the big I am but now you've highlighted the point he was knocked out and they were still laying into him, I can see no logic leaving him there even to get help.

Sorry, I have to agree with Ross's actions. I've done Ju Jitsu and Muay Thai (Thai boxing) and in that situation, I would of done the same thing.
Ross, in my opinion isn't a fighter, he's too nice a guy.
I've fought against 2 blokes at once before now and that was bad enough, let alone 20.
I totally understand where you are coming from TOG, as I wouldn't like to leave a friend helpless, but Ross made a brave decision to get help, for all he knew, the gang could of chased him, and gave him the same treatment.
The main thing is everyone is still around to tell the tale.

Everyone has their own opinion, and everyone should respect everyone elses view. As I said before, I respect TOG's opinion on what HE would of done, although I do not necessarily agree with it.
Please, lets not turn this forum into the in-fighting, bitchiness, that seems to be on many of the other forums within Scoobynet, we are all adults (age if not mentality) and should act as such.
I am now going to sit in the front room with my pipe and slippers, and listen to The Archers. Goodnight.

Hope you are ok Kev ... just wanted to add that he came out with myself and Rhybeck and some of our crew in Chelmsford before and was the nicest and one of the most quiet natured blokes I've ever met.
Is beyond belief that these guys would beat the **** out of him for no reason. Hope that you didn't take the rap for somebody elses mouth, because I've seen that happen far too often. Someone gives it 'I am charlie big bananas' in a club and does it to the wrong person ...
Ross was put in the classic dilema ... a mate is being pasted and you have a choice. You walk away and get help or you wade in a take a beating with him. He was outnumbered and would have been beaten twice as hard for getting involved. The beating Kev got would have probably gone on for longer too and he may have come out a lot worse than he did.
In that situation he done the right thing and probably saved Kev spending a long time in hospital by doing so. Top marks to you fella ... you used your head not your fists and that always is the right thing to do.

What the hollywood fighting movies don't show you is that when faced by a gang of people they don't wait around and come in one by one to fight you. They rush you and it's over!
Sad fact of going out is that you now have to watch your back so much. Although I'm out virtually every week and I've never had a problem or never been at the receiving end of a pasting. Just keep myself to myself and don't get in anybodies face.

I'm not saying you, Bruce Lee or myself can take on 20 blokes as I myself have had extensive traning and know thats an impossibility.
Being trained how to fight also gives to the wisdom to know when to use it......which is never 90% of the time....
Like i've said, all i've been saying is there are other options and what I would have done.
AGAIN I will say i'm glad no-one was severly injured and don't be put off by these kind of people.....big groups with big confidence....
As to keeping my opinions to myself......never been good that

Everyone has opinions which should be respected by everyone else.
No one should be myopic enough to believe they are always right all of the time.
