Saw my first one of this season today.

I cried because the thing was fitted to a Legacy.

I wonder how many of them will end up on the motorway after idiots forget the things are fitted and open the window to flick a *** out.

I suppose as I started all this I should say that I will have one flag of St George on my Impreza. I'm not a racist, in fact I've got a friend who knows someone who is half-cast, (that was a joke BTW!), I'm also not a chav.

I just love football and think it's great when you see loads of flags driving around just before the tournament, it's like everyone's uniting behind one cause. Whenever I see one I'm reminded that the world cup is just around the corner. FANTASTIC.

Agree!

Typical SN, typical keyboard hero's.
Seen lots in family type cars, pester power of kids down the shops or perhaps all the kids are racist thug in the making
Funny how easy some people let/assume the Cross of St George is a symbol of the BNP and racist thugs. It is the English flag ffs and if people wish to display it then let 'em!

The PC fools must just love this!

for the record i do not have one in/on the car the car.

For all those that are TOO posh ( or otherwise) to fly a flag on the outside of their car... how about one of the 'smelly' tree things you hang from your rear view mirror... they are doing them in white with the St George Cross on in Asda (prolly elsewhere too but my knowledge of 'shopping' is limited. i only know the local off licence)... for 68p or summat stooopid.. smell ok too

Just to qualify my position for anyone who's bothered; I don't believe that flying the flag is, per se, racist or xenophobic. What I do believe is that the Union Flag and the St George's Cross flag have been hijacked by far-right groups and that many of the 'ordinary' banner bearers share a similarly jingoistic outlook. That the practice seems to be the preserve of council estate inhabitants is incidental.

I would not put one on my car and I also would not have an Eu badge on my number plates.

I am very happy however to see obvious support for our country and its foootball team by other people .

Ah yes but most women will be at home tending to their beloved's every need, those that are not (the lesbians and ugly ones will be on the road)
will be driving diesels
So i should be able to beat at least one car on the road during the competition

ps who would win against a diesel corsa and a sti5?

Its funny because on SN you get so many people saying how we can't be ar$ed celebrating St Georges Day etc and how we're not very proud of our country anymore but the second anyone flys these flags theyre called all the names under the sun.

Personally I wouldnt fly the flag on my car because I dont want my nice car spoilt with an ugly little plastic stick attached to it regardless of the flag on the other end. I'll fly the flag elsewhere though

Still prefer the Italian flag.

All other countries have smarter flags. Our flag is just, well,Ocean Finance,Secure Homes, daytime telly, benefit fraud, the flipping great escape theme.

Still enjoy the matches though.Just mentally scarred by buying St George cross cufflinks for the last World Cup and they put the dates 1966 and 2002 on them.

Least I can use one of them .

Don't worry. For all those that don't want to fly flags on their cars (me included), the Sun are giving away free St George Cross dog tags to every reader!

How an earth can you say that? the Italian flag is 3 coloured stripes, like the:

French
Dutch
Germans
Belgians
Irish

Ours is so much better than all of them and is easily the most recognisable.

I thing the St George cross is and as for the Union flag well that just kicks ****!!!!
