We ended up in the Chinese with Gary, Emma, Chris and Steve and then back to my place to watch ring videos, Emma seemed really thrilled

I bet she was. She'll be going back to work for a rest.

Shame we weren't there last night too, but I think I would be dead from exhaustion... I've had 2 cans of Red Bull today already.

I don't know, I'll let you decide that when you see it

Just wondering, whats a good lap time? It was my first time so only paid for the 4 laps ticket, managed a 9.22 on my 3rd lap ( my last one should've been quicker but after the ring was re-opened after the accident the track was way too greasy)

I don't know. Ask one of the boys. I have timed myself once on my own and I did a 9.04. Dave can do 8.47 in the Clio, alot faster in the 944.

Apparently Karl can do 6.30, but I think he's lying

6.30? Is that after starting at 6.20?

I started gaining a confidence really but when I saw the track was damp, I bottled it a bit. Can't believe I've been in Germany for over 6 years and only ben to the Ring once (on my last weekend too)

If I lived in Germany, you'd have to try and stop me from being there every weekend!

Something I posted on Northloop forum about my "incident":

I came round the corner before Steilstrecke and there was a bike down in the middle of the road. How I didn't stack it I'll never know..... I was at full chat after overtaking a German registered M3 up Kesselchen, maybe 80/90MPH. The back end went out, I fish tailed across the road, hit the curb, thought I was going to hit either:

1. The armco;
2. The biker dragging the bike off the track; or
3. The bike being dragged off.

Luckily, I went through the gap between the biker and the armco.

Phew, heart was pumping for a while I'll tell you! The viper was crashed too after hitting the bike. He'd got past me at Breidscheid. But Dave stopped him from driving off after seeing that his rear wheel was hanging off......
Was terrifying.

The Viper never appeared back at the car park. Do you think they were embarrassed?

I have a sneaky feeling, he might have noticed before too long

Izzy, we know how you feel. That's why we got up on Saturday, got some tyres for the Clio and just drove to Germany...... So much better when not planned

I can't get Northloop at work either. SNet yes, Northloop no. Strange.
