Sorry to mess you about wakeboarder but I'm having a head Vs heart sort of issue at the moment.
I too am off to Oz but not until late next year. Something keeps telling me not to buy a new motor and put the dosh aside for Oz but then I've never been very sensible when it comes to this kind of thing!
If I don't change my mind again soon, good luck with the sale.
It looks a cracking motor that will make someone very happy.

I sold my 04 STI Type UK PPP with 12.5k on the clock with about 4 grands worth of subaru and prodrive aftermarket mods for 17k and most of you jokers offering 13/14k for this car are a disgrace to the subaru community
Infact your probably the same ones who offered me 13.5/14k for mine back then.
At 15k for this car, it is already sale of the ****ing century, considering that this car is at least 18k on any dealers forecourt
Wakeboarder - if I was looking for another scoob I would give you 15k for it tomorrow.

What happened to Imprezas holding their value?

Sorry mate but in this world what its "worth" and what you get are 2 different things. If no one offers what you want then the price goes down weather you like it or not. Just because your car has mods does not mean the price should be that much higher, if at all. Mods are dead money, best to sell seperately.
As for the seller he asked for a price he was happy with and got an offer of 1k only less, better than no offers which is what many impreza sellers get. Its a buyers market, look on auto trader and take your pick. Pages and pages of them with prices going down all the time. Way more common than Evos. Good luck to the seller but i wouldn't take 1k below as an insult even if it is worth full asking so pipe down.

have you advertised it on pistonheads. Had mine on there recently and got more interest than on here. Also a lot of classics for sale on there, and i guess at least a few of them would be looking to upgrade to a newage.
good luck with the sale.
I'm also bedfordshire based, so i'll give you a scooby wave if i see you on the road!
