31st October 2012 - most productive day on the Impreza so far

Bad news:
Car (significantly) down on power due to tear in the silicon Y pipe underneath the intercooler

But thanks to Mark at Thwaites Developments he fitted an STi version (and removed nasty cheap dump valve) and the Impreza is transformed

Also sorted yesterday were the final "tweaks" to the front end - an improvement me thinks?

BEFORE:

And AFTER some purchases off the parts section of Scoobynet:

Just an STi scoop to finish if off nicely. A HTautos front lip would be a good addition too

Nice,
but I'd choose a splitter over a bigger scoop first.

At some time in the past, the car has had a splitter fitted - so when I get round to fitting one the holes are already in 'situ'.

Personally I prefer the standard scoop (but it is good we all like different things).

Thanks for your post and kind words - loving my Bugeye

I was lucky with the bonnet scoop (thanks to parts section on Scoobynet as this was in 01G Silver). Also sourced STi headlamps from Scoobynet

The side markers are the original "crystal" style ones (hope I got that right?) and I had them resprayed.

The fog lamp covers are from HT Autos and came in black finish ready for painting.

The grille inserts were originally World Rally Blue, and I replaced a colour coded grille with a black one and needed the trim either side of it to be painted.

I think the car looks much better (goes SIGNIFICANTLY better now split Y pipe has been replaced) - STi intercooler

Default Ma BUG WRX - Scrappy Doo 2

Now I have joined the New Age boys I thought it was about time that I posted up a couple of Pics of the replacement for my Old Classic GL Wagon..

Here is Scrappy Doo 2

Its pretty much Stock at the minute.. So not in the same league as some of the other motors on here.. but there are plans for next year...

Current mods we have done so far include:
HKS Panel Filter
HKS BOV
Japspeed Centre Pipe
Ninja Backbox
Top Secret 18 wheels..
HTA Front Grill
Colour Coded Side Reflectors
Sick Speed Horns
Some engine tidying
Full Service including Millers Oils and NGK PF7s

Next year he will be getting full decat, uprated fuel pump, Hawk Injectors and a remap to let some more ponies out, along with a sensible drop..
