I've just bought this PPP'd wagon:
Having said that I won't be modding it I've now decided that as well as the obligatory de-tangoing I'd like to replace the headlights with the STi ones and the standard wheels with some nice anthracite ones.
I can't decide whether to colour code the side strips as well And maybe tint the windows.
And on and on and on......

My bugeye engine has just let go.
looking at a 2.5 lump from David@API so it can handle 400/400.
Afraid the 361/322 i had was to much.
new engine, new look also i think. probably remove the carbon and go bit more stealth/sleeper

Carbon goodies for sale in sale section now. under "carbon"
was thinking of getting rid but by the time i put in a new/second hand engine i will lose so much for it. might aswell build a bullet proof engine and keep her(till the gearbox breaks lol)
best colour indeed

I assume the engine rebuild will include an exedy clutch and lightweight flywheel. I'd have though an API 2.5 litre block would have been good for 450/450 as well

bottom end has gone Matty.
yeah friction plate and flywheel will be done also. keeping conservative figures for now until the box goes then its a case of upgrading box and bigger turbo. 450/450 but thats a distant dream as i need to find the money for the engine first.

I was starting to wonder how long you'd manage to keep going on standard internals with that sort of power so I guess that answers my question.
Does this mean we won't be seeing you for a while until you get the rebuild done? What sort of timescale do you think you'll be looking at?

Already planning the re-map, but could stretch to a second-hand VF34/35 and a three port. I've got a decat up-pipe, larger TMIC and GGR induction sat in the garage waiting to go in. Would just need some pink injectors and could see closer to 330 than I was planning

Argh your a crab then
im in the Navy, fleet air arm. work on the lynx
With that spec you will be seeing around the 320/310 figure mate.
35 is cheaper but the 34 seems to make more power. you dont really need the induction kit either, high flow filter will see you upto 380. sell it and it will pay for the 3 port

I know I don't need the induction kit, but I've got the kit, the heat shielding and the bug for the noise of induction kits. I've already got the STi panel filter in there now.
Without the turbo I'd be stretching it to get 290, but I'm not planning a rebuild so the extra would do fine. The option is a TD05, but I understand they a little more laggy and I've only seen one of Andy Forrests TD04 hybrids going second hand so that isn't really an option

Induction kits sound great mate agreed
you will need to change the turbo for 300 club and id go 34 if you can afford the extra. td05 16g will give around the same figures and isnt laggy plus it can be rebuilt

Minimum I expected for the 300club was turbo, fuel pump, injectors and 3-port or electronic boost controller so no shockers there

I really need some STi headlights for mine, who has done the conversion here? Any pitfalls? What was the cost?
I'm loving the anthracite wheels on sharmanator and Ady's sister's cars
