IMO STI ones beat the others hands down.
I nearly went for a set of Morettes and then changed my mind when they were out of stock at Scoobyworld. Looking back on it, so glad I did - prefer em - think they suit the car more than UK300 or Morette equivalent - don't get me wrong, I still think they look good; let's face it - anything's an improvement over the standard WRX lamps!

Here's my bugeye wagon:

It's totally unmodded as I've only had it a few months. Detango and headlights are the first coupla mods I want to make - like the Morettes but can't find a stockist for toffee and also like the STi lights but again need to find a stockist. Also want a waist spoiler. Any other suggested cosmetic mods?

Some stuff here on it - https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...ti-lights.html
I cheated and used adapters from George (Wagons Ho on here I think). He has a website - something like Chaio Fang Imports??
Cost about £45 for a plug and play jobbie shipped from Canada, but mine took about 5 weeks to arrive due to a mahoosive **** up with the shipping arrangements
If you get them from George, go for the harness that keeps your dipped on when you engage main beam - that's the way the standard UK models work.
Fitting is easy - remove the old ones, pop the new ones in and then plug in the adapter; blank off or tape off any connectors no longer in use. Only downside is if you don't get the expensive harness you lose the level adjustment control - but let's be honest how often do you have 4 fat blokes in the car?
Cheers mate

Happy to help mate
, I'll have to track down where I got some of the connectors from, but that won't be difficult or too expensive. I've got plenty of cabling/crimps/shrinkwrap etc so there's no worry on that front. The only thing that is important is that you get all the plugs that connect to the ballasts if you get the JDM HiD versions, with some wire still connected (doesn't matter if it's been cut off as long as it's not cut too short) because I've not found anywhere to get the connectors for those.
Oh, and let me get back off my holiday as I go away next week, but only for a week.

Cheers fella. Mine are the UK spec STI lights - they're AKA projectors. The JDM ones originally had HID as far as I know. Mine were UK spec sourced from Japan cos they were cheaper - I've then retro-fitted an aftermarket HID kit from a group buy on here - I have to say visibility goes up by at least another 50% on the originals - much better.
If you change to STI spec yes you still need the harness - the lights are different. The STI lights have additional plugs for the levelling motors that the WRX doesn't have IIRC.
Can't remember the front grille part off hand - it's a phase II STI model grille - and yes it comes painted - somewhere in the region of £130 from a dealer I think. I couldn't get the part number so in the end I just found one that looked the same on the Subaru dealer website and then the parts department used that as the basis to locate it for me.
HTH.
cheers mate thanks for the help
going to be spending a dam fortune on her soon but it will be well worth it.
