I'm already busy detailing (is that what they call it) my cat. Using some autoglyn deep shine polish for darker colours and it has removed the swirls that had built up.

Alton just get's better & Better every year

Massive thanks to All the organisers , Lots of hard work & planning paid off , All 125+ Scoobs parked with ease

( Loved our spot on the corner @ the bottom of the hill , Plz reserve for me neat year

)

Was my first alton meet ,

Was Awsome , top quality cars on show and a fantastic atomspere,

we were parked on the hill towards the weatsheaf, white Ra all stickered up, black wrx and my blue Sport in front of that,

Just a real shame that i didnt see any of the sussex lot there, maybe next time eh ??

it was an early start

, but well worth it. Left home in total fog (well us scooby drivers like to use our fogs dont we

) but by the time we arrived in Alton it was glorious sunshine and it stayed like that all day

Really well organised (thanks to Big Vern for that..Alton must be proud of you) and we squeezed in quite a few

Breakfast was 10/10 and then it was fun seeing loads of familar faces, some just awesome cars on display, the square was great with the band and everyone sat around having a superb time

I think everyone must agree that is definately without doubt a permanent fixture in the diary...thanks Alton

Thanks for all your kind messages! I agree - what a great day - and I really enjoyed watching (and hearing!) all you guys arrive in town and the challenge of trying to ensure you were all able to park together.

I also agree with Simon regarding the immaculate behaviour of all those who took part - I've just put the phone down to the local police inspector who didn't have a bad word to say about the event.

I'm already looking forward to next year!

Doh, i popped down about 2:30pm and there were only about 20 cars left parked up. Guess i missed the morning madness. Must remember to get down earlier for next year.

I am an Alton local, so trying to arrange for a field for a number of you to camp in next year, its about 1mile from the town centre, would need a small contribution to cover toilet hire cost and to cover costs of getting the field ready, but feel if i could get enough of you guys down, get a large BBQ going and some drinks could be a good addition to the fun of the Alton Meet..

Lol. This is defo one for the early risers. Got there about 1pm and it was already very thin on the ground. Had a nice lunch, though. Oh, and the best lookin cars were in the car park round back.
