thats very good for a Riu hotel
I paid about that last year flying 1st class with the mrs for 2 weeks in a 4 star in the riveria maya just down the road
2 years before was in cancun, paid about £600 ish each for the 2 weeks all inclusive
if your tall then its worth the upgrade imo

I reckon its the plugs and leads. I believe the DIS is weak, however wouldnt think that would clear up higher in the rev range
