I'd keep it that way if I were you. The original wheels and spoiler aren't very appealing. Mine was standard when I got mine but now has STi wheels and a jdm STi (mid level) spoiler, plus exhaust. Idea was to subtly change the looks while still retaining the Catalunya's character.

Meant to reply last w/end but you know how it is....
Car looks splendid , the four-pots look the business and must inspire a lot more confidence.
Just had to fork out £650 to get an exedy clutch fitted and a bearing replaced in the gearbox. I knew there was a problem with the 'box but was waiting until the clutch needed replacing to save a bit on the labour. The clutch gets better as it beds in and the changes are nice and precise while still feeling like the standard one.
Here's a recent shot of my car, think I'll have to get clear repeaters like you

Take it easy

Hi Andy, nice and shiney car , and welcome to the small but exclusive cat community.
Have you had it long?
I once saw another cat parked in a car park near me, but that is the only time in three years of owning my car that I've seem another outside of a meet/event.
Cheers
Nick

i used my phone so the pictures were rubbish, get some new ones soon, crystal lights are a must they do make it look better, only problem is the headlights, most crystal headlights fit but dont work for the electric beam adjustment coz the hole the motor has to go in is to small,as i found out the hard way, and cant be modified to either. the type r lights are crystal and fit. i did find a set but got mucked about by the person who had them, so ended up not having any so far. did crystal the rest though.

Unfortunately I no longer have Cat 195 . Several weeks ago I had a collision with a lorry along one of the lanes near where I live. I was going slowly, came around a corner to see a lorry heading towards me, next thing its wheels lock up and it slides right into my front and pushes me into the bank. Front all crumpled and front of engine damaged.

Insurance write off but not too bad experience: car valued at £5000 and the engineer valued it as £4700 (minus excess) and all settled pretty quickly. But because there were no witnesses had to go 50/50 on the claim.
Anyway I picked up a green MY2000 turbo 2000 yesterday with 45K on the clock. It has a quick shift, uprated discs and pads and a TSL grp N back box.
Will miss the Cat as it was so rare.
I have the OE dump valve from the car if anyone's interested, plus a mid level spoiler in black mica.
Cheers

At last confermation that I am not alone I have spotted another "Catalunya" I have spent a year looking and found one hiding on my doorstep in southend !! The poor woman (Cat No' 87) was prob a bit freaked out when some random bloke pulled up next to her in the street talking @ random about coming to the Essex Scooby Crew posers cruise LOL I know this isn't much of an event and I know the Catalunya isn't the most exciting of the Impreza Ltd models but as I am sure you know at only 199 built they are rare, so to me it is an event LOL Anyone know of a Catalunya regester, wondered how many are still about as I have seen a couple of bits on ebay from catalunya's that have been advertised by breakers, I still have have my old VW Beetle 1978 "Last Edition" (only 300 built) and I have that on the "Last Edition" regester, found it helpfull from time to time? I have number 197 and its live and kicking 👍
Well a month ago I bought a blob eye wagon, now addicted to my first subaru and after a long chat with another member I had to look twice at this catalunya, number 197. I can see its been seen several times in Hull, and I live in Hull also. It would appear its been kept local since 2003 when it was bought by its second owner, till they recently passed it on to friends garage as a non runner.
I'm pLeased to say its pretty stock, just a strut brace, wheels, grill, and back box are not oem style parts. It also drives a dream, much smoother than the 54 reg blob eye with its agressive map. It has all stickers, plaque, mats etc in good condition, has had rear turrets welded and needs the arches cutting out. Other than that for a 23 year old car it seems to be in really good running condition! A few bad photos attached 👍
Looks stock other than a strut brace and aftermarket grill, also the wheels.
