Exactly right its unfinished decent enough spec though:
STI 9 Crank
Eagle rods with ARP bolts
wiseco 93mm forged Pistons
RCMS WRC lead copper bearings
740CC Injectors
SX fuel reg
Walbro 255L pump
Apexi Power FC ECU
6 speed gear box
Exedy twin plate clutch
APS Cold air induction kit
Scooby clinic FMIC
loads of other ancillaires like insulating manifold spacers and parallel fuel rails.
I'm nearly there all it needs now is a turbo which is either going to be Marks MD321T or a rotated GT30R.
The reason it looks untidy is simple its all going to have to come off again when the turbo goes on.
Incedently I've had the ***** to all this myself from scratch with the exception of the gearbox rebuild (stripped fourth gear) and the Mapping which Andy Forest and Andrew C have done between them.
Slag it off as much as you like but its quick, its my own work and it would make most, not all, scoobs on this thread look silly in its current form never mind when it gets a decent turbo.
Incedently the whole projects been documented here:

Brakes suspension and tyres are a different matter.
I'll just say this:
AP racing Six pots (355mm)
KW coilovers
Pirelli Corsa tyres on Trackday wheels
christ this has turned into a pissing contest.

I'm not bothered by engines really, the more standard the longer it will last me and considering my car has done over 7000 miles on track (including 500 laps of the ring) I can't be too far wrong. Plus the money I could throw at it, I could do another 100 laps of the ring, and I know what I'd prefer.
......but the other things you have should mean I dont have a chance!

Mine gets used and abused everyday I used to have a company car but now i've just started my own business and this is the daily driver.
Ive done 12000 miles since I finished my rebuild now and the only problem I have had with it is a misfire caused by some muck on the Crankshaft position sensor.
The best thing is fuel economy is better with the 740 CC injectors.
That's weird considering the standard ones are 440cc however they were at 100% duty at one point where as the 740's are only at 70% for the time being.
I agree with Gutmann pug the engine does look a mess but when its finished its going to look nice and tidy. It certainly won't be a case of all show and no go. I'll be all torque!! lol

Right bollox to all these engine pictures, who's gonna help me fit this
K4VIZ.COM - World's Largest Engine
(Might need to fabricate some new mountings and beef up the suspension a bit )

so much cheaper than any of my other cars!!!
For those who dont know, a 944 engine is a 928 engine chopped in half and balancer belts/weights fitted to smooth out the vibration from the "missing" 4 cylinders. (simplified I know but basically true)
