Quick update........
Just tried doing more then 5 miles in her, well 6 to be exact I included a high speed run where I took her up to an indicated 80mph which in real money means about 36
Passenger window has strange trait and leaves a gap when it closes. Guess I will have to check it out and if I cant sort it get the mastic out and seal it shut
Tomorrow sees its first wash and a closer inspection.
2 days and no breakages so far ........

If its a solid tank, with FUN that you want, I would look for a Jaguar XJ6/XJS. You may get a decent old 4.2 powerhouse for that money

For my 205 I meant.
Like your new motor.(not!!!)
I had an old Xanthia for work run and moving stuff to and from dump when building a patio, paid £500 for it, moved tons of rubble ,covered nearly 20,000 miles in it to work and back, sold it for £500 a year later.
Nice for a car to earn its keep, feels like you have beat the system in a way.
Hope your bargain can do this.
