Hopefully myself and others are going to the RR at Power engineering on the 25th of Feb, and I can find out finally what my car is kicking out.
Although there seems to be a lot of these conversions now, there are still many different versions of mods to support the 2.5, so unless someone posts up their spec and their results we can only guess.
I'm around the 1.4 bar area on the 2.5 with the standard internals from the scoobynet group buy a year and a half ago. After mapping and watching my knocklink (no activity at all) I can only assume my engines happy at 1.4 bar.
So I've done about 12.000 miles.
I will post my engine spec if you want it, to compare it to yours, then lets await the results in a couple of weeks.

Cheers fella
Kevin.
Really tempted with coming along for a power run. Although I have a place in Crawley that could probably do a power run for me that specialise in Skylines. It is a good opportunity to meet a few others at the same time. Although I think I will be needed a new clutch soon.

I took the car out for a first proper run on Saturday. And was spinning all 4 wheels in third, and the clutch started to slip in 4th and 5th a couple of times. So although I might put myself down for a run I want to be sure the clutch will hold out before travelling what is a fair distance for me. But would be suprised If I not somewhere between 350/350 and 400/400.

I have owned a lot of fast cars some non scoobies and this now feels by far the quickest car I have ever owned. . The car now has the same snap that you get in 2nd in say a 300bhp car, but you get the same thump in the back in third, and again in 4th (when the clutch is not slipping), and probably the same again in 5th but you have either run out of road or bottle at this point.

Its defo quick, but what the rollers would say I can only guess. I am going to have to find out now. Probably sooner rather than later.

I would guess probably about 10-12K. And thats with some negotiating.
6K for bottom end and clutch
1K for turbo
1K for headers and zorst.
0.5K for injectors
1K for ECU and Mapping.
0.5K for intercooler/pipework.

p.s believe it or not and although I might/probably will change eventually to a STI8 top mount. I am only running a standard MY98 UK intercooler. But due to the turbo and safe/good mapping I am seeing little/no knock at all. Seeing at present a knock count of 8 tops on 98ron. (No addatives).

The summer temps will likely increase this knock count, and might have to change the cooler or pull some timing or might just get away with some octane booster. But goes to show how efficient the 20g turbo is, and is probably very comfortable at 1.3bar on a 2.5ltr.
